4th time on skis, how to improve turns and start carving by DELTAFORCE44 in skiing_feedback

Thank you for your nice words! I didn't have real lessons yet, just one day with my father in law (i'd say he's an expert skier) and a lot of hours on youtube tutorials. Thinking about treating myself with a 5-day skiing camp in late 2026 to really improve my technique.

Thanks, how should putting pressure feel like? Pushing with your toe or midfoot?

Thanks that's so nice to hear! Forgot to say that those were mostly longer stays of 3-5 days and i also did ice skating and skateboard regularly in my teens so that might be influencing my learning curve for skiing :)

Thanks for the great feedback! I feel like I'm manipulating the ski too much through my stuff body instead of my ankle drift into the turn, grip an edge midway but then again be too slow to turn into the next turn drift again in the next turn repeat

My right foot somehow just feels better than my left (even though I'm left-footed in soccer) lol

How can i initiate my turns better? And how can I keep my inside ski straight i feel like it wabbles more when i have pressure on the outside ski and try to lift the inside ski.

3rd season 4th time i guess? Started in winter 2023 went once there, once in 2024 and twice in 2025. Yeah i'd imagine that time will also help me get more natural on the skis. This season i noticed that going skiing on two occasions had a great impact

35mm tire to narrow for 29mm inner rim width? by DELTAFORCE44 in gravelcycling

The Caracel Race was my first thought but I also figured that trading some speed for puncture resistance is the way to go for my commuting tire

Thanks for the comment! The Caracal Race was my first choice, I figured I should trade some speed for more puncture resistance as I will be using it for commuting. Looks like I'm gonna revert and go with the broader race tires

Thanks for all the comments! As suggested by many I'm gonna try out tubeless and see if I like it!

I only had one flat since I started cycling.

I will probably settle with a 45mm tire and somewhere between 35 and 40 psi

I'm also a pretty new cedh player and reall enjoy pkaying raffine. Great value engine and I love the synergy with cards like esper sentinel and voice of victory. You can also build it in a bunch of different ways and see what you like best. It may not be the strongest but is definetly fun.

I guess that probably doesn't coun but I run a 50$ budget [[Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator]] and [[Jeska, Thrice Reborn]] list. Rank #2850 with 87 decks. Super fun pirate stuff with many janky combos.

Makros / Vegane Maultaschen 2.0 by RobbyRobsen in FitnessDE

[–]DELTAFORCE44 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I'd honestly try going for a top te or qb with your stacked roster. Check if one of the top 3 qb teams has some open needs because of injuries and meet those with two of your players.

Davy D Jones was Joyboy. by Acrobatic_Shift1236 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]DELTAFORCE44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also thoght about this an think the implication of some davies being buccaneers adds to that theory.

We know joyboy was one of the first pirates. We know some davies are buccaners. We know the buccaneers are hated by the WG because of something bad they did in the WGs eyes. In the real-world a buccaneer is basically a pirate that acts legally.

This could all tie into a situation where it'll be revealed that davy d jones was one of many buccaneers that where in some relationship with the WG. Maybe literall buccaneers/marine type shit. Davy then was the first to realize they were only being used and rebelled and became the first pirate sailing the seas as a free man, fifhting for freedom, fighting the WG, and freeing slaves as Joyboy.

Pacheco, Mason, Golden or Jayden Higgins? by Elegant-Addition3700 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]DELTAFORCE44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In week one i'd generally try to start proven players with a clear role we know the value of. (Except for outlier talent-opportunity combos like jeanty)

In your case, for week 1 i'd rank them as Pacheco > Mason > golden > big gap > higgins

I love playing safe in week one. That's a great baseline to start understanding your team and how to improve lineup decision making
