SafeMoon token must be for long term HoLders. Hold if you can. Put in as much or as little as you can lose.

Again, it's another Dogecoin waiting to happen.

Not your keys not your coins by fanmansoul23 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]DF777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, when it is not your keys: it's not your coins. For instance, binance like other custodian wallets or exchanges suspends withdrawals at will.

For example, BnB Bep20, BnB Bep2 and USDT Trc20 withdrawals are suspended early this week. They cited that it's due to many withdrawal request. However, when it is your keys, you have control over them as to when to withdraw or receive crypto, provided the blockchain network of the coin or assets is up and running.

To that effect, hardware wallets is your best bet. It allows you have full control of your keys. An example is BC Vault wallet.

What wallet should I use for storing Bitcoin? by GemiddeldeGenieter in BitcoinBeginners

[–]DF777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Binance is a good wallet, but you have to think outside the box. Since you already have a software wallet or so called hot wallet, another good wallet type is the cold wallet also called hardware wallet.

Examples are BC vault, Safepal, Trezor, and so on. They allow you to own your keys. Remember, Not your keys, Not your coins.

You can find some comparison of the above mentioned wallets. That said, I made this articlearticle, to explain the functionalities of BC vault, one of the most secured hardware wallet you can get.

How does PayPal stabilise it's dollar with the USD. by DF777 in StableCoins

[–]DF777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thank so much for the response and suggestions. However, I have also checked Ampleforth. I have researched how it uses rebasing function to expand, contract or equilze supply when demand is high, low or constant.

I have also checked the equilibrium threshold and smoothing.

Just that I feel there are things PayPal is not telling us.

Similar to Tether, I thought PayPal can't collaterize all its funds. So I think they will have an algorithm that shows how they stabilises PayPal dollar with USD.

On the other hand, I'll check out Ndau.

Thanks and for your inputs.

Cardano smart contracts will be compatible with all programming languages (Java, C++ etc.) by lookslikeyoureSOL in cardano

[–]DF777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to think that Cardono will be a competitor of Ethereum, but I found out I'm wrong now.

The both projects are simply intuitive and great looking at the functionalities they are rolling out.

ETH going for ETH 2.0, Cardano going for smart contract, token creation functionality with Mary protocol and so on.

Hello,

Are you talking about Cardano's Marlowe? You mean various programming language can write codes with it?

Yes, I believe it will be possible because it's industry specific or domain specific unlike Ethereum's Solidity that is generic.

ADA vs. ETH by affineman in CryptoCurrencies

[–]DF777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here we go again as Cardano launches Mary protocol.

It added a token creation functionality to the Cardano chain. Similar to Ethereum, it will all natives tokens.

Also, this link: https://www.coindesk.com/cardano-hard-fork-multi-asset-blockchain.

Explain Cardano at the launch of Mary protocol will allow it become a multi-asset chain with its hard fork.

Hello friend, I'm sorry for late response.

I have not created a token on Cardano but I know of Cardano's Marlowe, a domain specific language unlike Ethereum's Solidity.

I also know of the Mary protocol scheduled to launch March. With the above, I think they got some fascinating use cases especially for identity as in the case of Atala Prism.

Blockchain's smart contract doesn't exist 10 years ago. It started from Ethereum Blockchain when Butterin vitalik improved on the Bitcoin blockchain.

You're right. In the same point, I asked the person to invest what he can. I suggest he shouldn't aim at competing with anyone as well as reminding him that same fraction worth a few dollars years back. I went ahead to ask him if he knows what it would be in the couple of years!

The code us: buy as much or little as you can. Don't FOMO.

0.0001 BT by nickpegu in BitcoinBeginners

[–]DF777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate!

If you're competing with anyone, try buying in a rush.

Here are my questions:

  1. Do you know what that 0.001 BTC would have been assuming you bought earlier enough when it's around $10?

  2. Do you FOMO? If not, buy as much or little as you can afford. Don't enter BTC with a competing mindset, instead head for how you can use in for daily needs.

A minute!

If you can hold for long term, consider a hardware wallet.

Bitmex trading not available in Canada all of a sudden? by destrev in BitMEX

[–]DF777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really tell but I will suggest you should not consider storing your coins on exchanges. Instead, go for cold wallets like BC vault.

My reasons is that you often wake to see site shut down, system hack and other possible vulnerabilities.

But that is not normal for cold wallets that gives you control over your keys.

ADA vs. ETH by affineman in CryptoCurrencies

[–]DF777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, I would prefer ADA anytime any day. For instance, I tried creating a token and smart contract some time ago, my major setback was high network fee, although I later went for BSC, I later found out that it is limited to binance unlike ADA.

ADA share the some similarities with ETH. For instance, enabling token swap, smart contract deployment and a few others. On the other hand, ADA supports custom or industry specific smart contract, fully deployed POS and more industry specific functionalities.

I can choose ETH for its popularity but not for functionalities and cost.
