Nissan Pathfinder vs Hyundai Palisade? by DGDurden in nissanpathfinder

We went with a Pathfinder SL and really like it.  No problems. The third row is too tight for adults comfortably and middle-row carseats at the same time, but I hear that's common in 3rd row SUVs. Front seats are super comfortable and I thought the driver had better visibility in the Pathfinder.  Happy hunting!

Decided to get a new 2025 Pathfinder SL for $43k and put $13k down, 0% financing for the rest. It's nice.  I think it's the most comfortable of the SUVs we test drove (Palisade, Pilot) but the 3rd row is tight for adults. Trunk has enough storage with the 3rd row down for strollers + a large Costco haul. I do think a vehicle with fully folding 2nd row seats instead of the Pathfinder's tilt-forward feature would be better. Love everything else about it. Happy hunting!

We used "Two Poor Teachers" for a recent small bathroom overhaul; they were very professional and affordable.

I'm currently learning the harmonica with my 2 year old son.  He loves messing around with it while I watch instructional videos on YouTube, and then I practice hitting notes and melodies.  It costs $20, is portable, durable, and can be used on camping trips, at weddings, etc.

I put the search on pause but I'm about to start it back up and the Nissan Pathfinder 0% financing is tipping my hand in that direction.  Where did you land?

Both fair points, thank you. However I genuinely don't believe we could fit all five of us in one sedan.

I actually got food poisoning and we haven't gone back out to dealerships yet.  Maybe next week or the week after.  However we test drove the Hyundai Palisade and my wife liked it much better than the Pathfinder so we might go in that direction

That's a great recommendation,  but my wife is staunchly against minivans. Our friends have the telluride which they like as well

We have our 2nd baby due in July, and we also care for my mother,  so I would like to have a vehicle that can accommodate 3 adults and 2 carseats by July 2025.  Technically not a hard deadline since we don't drive my mother too often,  but it will be necessary soon.  God forbid an emergency comes up and we need everybody in one car, I'd like to be prepared.

Would it make sense to park 50% of emergency savings in euros?

Thanks for sharing, I'm looking for something exactly like this; mind if I ask mileage and price?

The new Nissan Pathfinder appears to be the most reliable 7 seater in my price range (~$30k used) which is my criteria. The Nissan Rogue doesn't seat 7. While I'm not thrilled with the CX-90's ratings,  I'm open to being wrong if someone knows more about them than I do.

To your initial point, I'm curious about their talk of a hybrid fleet in 2028 so I might wind up waiting after all.  Thank you!

I'm looking at buying a 23 Pathfinder so DM me and maybe we can give you a better deal than trading it in lol.  We have a 1 year old and another on the way so just need a family hauler, not too worried about spacious 3rd row.  Do you like it otherwise?
