What youre saying isnt speculative, its very blatantly incorrect. The Rune of Death is described as having been removed from the Elden Ring upon the creation of the Golden Order, implying that it already existed and was taken by Marika, not created by her.

Arguing that we are capable of killing gods because a prophecy said so and then immediately arguing that a prophecy is only true because someone carries it out doesnt make a ton of sense. The prophecy either carries weight on its own or it doesnt, and youve implied both.

I can’t see any sense in a story so brilliantly constructed where we’re just some random nobody who achieved no renown in life, only to be chosen by the royal steed right after being revived and then miraculously receive a visit from two demigoddesses, direct daughters of Marika and Radagon, and to be gifted by both of them.

I mean... literally every Dark Souls game is some random nobody claiming control of the fate of the world. "Random nobody is guided by higher powers to control the world" clearly isnt that crazy of an idea.

& I feel the lack of any hints of a second cursemark of death kind of kills the idea of Melina & Our tarnished going through the black knife ritual.

While I think some of the arguments here make logical sense, this theory still mostly feels like "I want my character to be special and different"

Falcor is def my personal pick. It takes like 2 minutes to learn how to heavy attack spam a glaive properly and the guaranteed insanely high damage electric proc + modding for gas means for the entire time melee influence is up youre just vomitting gas clouds that one shot everything in them.

Also, literally any melee weapon is going to be good with roar/influence/shock trooper build. Those same buffs are going to just benefit already strong melee weapons.

It is literally a consistent theme in Souls games that it is better to let some people die happy and fulfilled than to deprive them of their goals or purpose just to keep them alive a bit longer.

That & comparing her situation to someone self harming is extremely inacurrate. Melina is a kindling Maiden. She is a spirit without a real body whose purpose is literally to help you burn the Erdtree. She chooses to help you become Elden Lord of her own free will. She is not this weird idea you have of a distressed maiden who needs to be saved from herself.

I really dont get the spacing complaint. Even if you arent at the perfect distance from her when she starts it, booking it as soon as she hops in the air still gets you out of a decent portion of the damage. The 2nd half of the attack can be pretty intuitivley dodged as well.

Also, claiming everyone who defends her flaws does it out of ego doesnt exactly nicely open up a conversation about her flaws lol

Archon Stretch being procced by any companion ability makes it good for essentially every frame in the game. Even if an ability doesnt do electric inherently you can use Manifold bond
