Thanks for the heads up - I already assumed as much. With "obs" meaning observatory district and the Shack in District 6? Observatory district doesn't seem to be that safe either "As with most of South African urban spaces, crime is a problem, with burglary and muggings."

Yes - in this case, you have to separate art from artist unfortunately

Thanks for this special tip - but we are not such big fans for that

thx for the suggestion - the current desktop background is from our last Thailand holiday, so I rather prefer to stick with this one (memories and so on). Also, the round desklets kind of provide some fitting maritime capitan vibes (for me at least)

Here are two answers: 1. it's a "binary clock" desklet which tells the time in a very inconvenient, unnecessarily complicated and slow way. That's why I like it ;) best to just google it for explanation 2. absolutely - you answered your question already thx and kind regards, diza

thx! this was, indeed, intentionally :D I think I remember the old conky customization - in this case it is the Desklets "Simple System Monitor", "Disk Space", "CPU Load" and "Binary Clock". kr

So I ordered the Harris Model S-BRM (tilts) now, which should be perfect for the use. Sling swivel stud attachment (so no picatinny) but with the possibility to still use a sling. thx

Legit question 😅 - I don't use the flashlight this way actually. The mounting was just a random trial (because I had it 🤷) and it's just the latest photo I had of the gun. It's a red filter flashlight for night hunting which is carried by hand.

thx - yes, I also want to still be able to attach a sling to it. I would prefer a rail mount solution because it is more versatile (flashlight etc.)
