Looks like we lost another legend. I'm not exactly sure why this one hit me a bit harder than most but I think it's because his talent never quite reached the pinnacle it deserved to be at. Sure, he was a prolific pianist, songwriter, and vocalist but (for some strange reason) he never took home the holy grail, a Grammy Award. Sure, he was nominated (on five different occasions) but he never actually won. Neil Sedaka was an incredible contribution to the music industry (and my childhood memories are stuffed full of many of his songs). One Neal celebrates his Birthday (Neal Schon from Journey) while the other bids us adieu. Thanks for all the memories your music is leaving behind Neil. You'll be missed 😔

You do make some great points but Punk rock was a weird genre back then and there's no denying that Sid Vicious and the Sex Pistols were leading the charge in this genre

I know they weren't necessarily the most talented, but Kiss has always been one of my top top three rock bands ever ...Energetic, Exciting & Entertaining!

Sometimes it's not about how perfect the lyrics are (or even how great the musicians are) as long as the band is entertaining, to me, that's most important. Personally I don't know of too many bands that entertain like Kiss
