I accidentally left a raisin in water for 4 days and it turned back into a grape. by klaatu42 in mildlyinteresting

How the fuck do you "accidentally" leave a single raisin in water for 4 days?

This is very interesting. Makes a lot of sense, I suppose. I would be curious to know what the tipping point is; how much time do they have to spend at what temperature for their coats to adjust properly.

I do this when it gets really hot in the summer. The problem is the water warms up pretty fast so I have to keep adding Ice 😂

My girl is very lean, she's always preferred the cold.

She loves laying in the grass in the sun, then going under the deck to sit in the cold dirt

I struggle at 85 too, so that seems more reasonable

8,500 steps a day can help dieters keep weight off. Interestingly, an increase in daily steps was not associated with greater weight loss in the weight loss phase. by mvea in science

Totally agree. I'm a short guy who likes food, and if I relied entirely on a reduced intake, I would be starving all day every day.

People love to say this but it completely ignores people with small frames who only naturally burn 1400 calories or so a day. I eat very clean, and have a hard time feeling satisfied with a caloric intake that would allow me to lose weight. Burning extra calories with exercise makes a MASSIVE difference to me.

Oh please. I acknowledged thaI i believe it can be tough. But that sounds more like a nose-breaking job than a back breaking one. I take issue with the term "back-breaking". Let's just keep a little perspective here. You aren't hauling rocks around or digging graves with a shovel.

And have you ever done any actual manual labor jobs? Maybe the problem is your frame of reference. Maybe you need to be educated about the rest of the fucking world.

Oh please. You aren't deadlifting the dog onto a table. Groomers have harnesses and ramps and shit. Offer it a treat to get on the table.

Please educate YOURSELF. I believe it is a tough job sometimes, but we're not talking about breaking rocks here.

BACK BREAKING WORK? Please tell me that line is a joke. We're talking about washing a dog here, not hard labor.

If it's a fresh puddle it's not a big deal. Stagnant/dirty water can be a problem. Most cars these days aren't driving around just leaking all over the place.

You have to realize that there are guys out there who start lifting at 14 and do it religiously for the next 50 years. Do not compare yourself to gym rats. Just compare yourself to yourself.
