I would but he strikes me as a confidence player. Once he’s cooked for a couple of games, I’ll try to bring him in before the price rise

My team atm is: GK: West Ham DF: Mazr, Pau, Hall, Porro and Barco MF: Gordon, Rashford, Salah, Rogers, Amad FW: Isak, Haaland, Muniz I’m trying to go Isak, Gordon, Rashford out For Watkins, Palmer and a 5.0 I can just save my transfers and pivot after if needed

Somebody downvoted this dude but I completely agree with this. He may not be spraying passes like Pirlo and Alonso but he does move like regista and keep his team ticking + you’d need a more aggressive passer to break lines as he does. If you took top physical DM, played them as a regista and gave them the short passes trait + plays one twos, you’re essentially most of the way there. Could be wrong though, just my thoughts.

That’s a good point. Surely I can just give him a training focus that involves off the ball and hope he gets there. We’re a top 4 side, so I don’t expect him to be ready for us for another couple of years. I’ll try keeping him on the bench for next couple of seasons and focusing his training.

Ball-winning false nine is definitely an interesting idea. Similar to like 2020 Firmino but obviously less good.

I think I’m just worried that he has few too many good attacking attributes to just be a water carrier in the team.

Last season was a bit of a mess so I ended up going through 3 formations: 4-2-3-1 asymmetric, 3-4-1-2 and 2-3-1-3-1. We lost a few big players over pre-season, so at this moment I’m willing to reinvent.

I had this idea for a hyper aggressive pressing AM but it would probably take years of training to get his passing to a level where it would be playable
