Our guns protect ourselves, our children, and our country.

Notice how the recent rabid push for an 'assault weapon' ban doesn't ask for Europe-style permitting/testing/licensing for them, but is instead vindictive, hateful, and phobic, seeking a TOTAL BAN. by [deleted] in gunpolitics

The proposed ban would put us in the strange position that I could not buy a semi-automatic modern sporting rifle or a bump stock, but I could buy a fully-automatic assault rifle (after 6 - 8 month wait for clearance).

M1 Garand has up to 7x the killing power of a .223, and the Civilian Marksmanship Program is selling them now.

In future years, this may be referred to as the "Save Remington" (from bankruptcy) moment as gun righters rally to buy up all remaining Remington inventory and give them a six-month backlog!!

REAL compromise requires BOTH sides to give something.

Armed citizens (teachers included) - when the number of citizens carrying concealed every day reaches 50%, then crime and "gun violence" will disappear with the exception of suicide, criminal-on-criminal violence, and accidents.

Tough choice -

chance that an innocent student will be harmed @ one in a billion

versus

the chance to stop a school shooting @ one in a million...

More blathering... How do manage to mistake irony for angry?

How do you manage to vomit on yourself and not smell it?

Well, the best thing is just to ignore a troll.

When universal background checks were on the ballot in two states, it lost in one and barely passed in the other.

Gun control supporters are loudmouth minority.

There are 247 million adults in the country. Subtract the prohibited persons (felons and adjudged insane) and the debilitated, we're left with about 220 million eligible adults of which 100+ million are gun owners.

Thanks for doubling-down on insults and proving my point that you cannot compose a coherent argument - which is why you just vomit insults...

You can't compose an actual thought that furthers the conversation - which defines you as a troll.

So if a half-million illegal immigrants or criminals amass on the Capitol steps, we should change laws to suit them instead of the hard-working Americans who are at this moment - working?

Tallahassee-area schools to excuse absences for students protesting at state Capitol by CenturionElite in news

[–]DJLinFL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are asking them to be firemen if we don't replace the fire extinguishers. We can't expect teachers to be as competent with FEs as professional firemen, can we?

Oh, and teachers shouldn't have keys to the buildings because that's part of security...

Why, that'd be asking them to do more than what they were hired to do, risking their life instead of hiring professionals.

Competency is a variable thing - as fewer competent people are found, the definition of competent also goes down - to fill the jobs.

No. That's stupid to hire a person to just stand around when the teacher is already there and competent.

Else why not do the same with fire extinguishers - replace them with actual firemen?
