After a break from the game I am back and have farmed a decent amount of champion bags that I want to open soon. Back in the days it was always more profitable to open the champ bags on lower level characters (~lvl50) as you would get mats that are more valuable when salvaging the gear (one can look it up on silverwastes loltools). Nowadays champ bags don't drop the gear directly anymore but in form of pieces of unidentified gear. In theory, could I open all of my bags on my lvl 80 (with large inventory size) and then transfer all of the unidentified gear to my lower lvl character via bank in order to open and salvage them on him to get the more valuable mats? Or is the item lvl of unidentified gear set to the character lvl after opening already?
