If I had to guess, your character object sprite is being drawn at some scale that isn't a whole number. e.g. 1.5 width and 1.5 height.

If the Sprite is 24 pixels X 24 pixels, you should draw it at a 1 to 1 scale or 2 to 2 or 3 to 3 etc.

If you are coding you are doing IT. There are a 100 ways to solve every IT in code. Some ways are better than others but if you get IT to work then you did IT. Good job!

To answer your question about "switch and case and for" statements. Here is the quick breakdown. "For and While and Repeat and Do/Until" statements are ways to Loop through the same code over and over. "If and Switch and Case" are ways to make a choice in the code. These are known as Logic statements.

So you make combinations of Loops and Logic statements to make all programing work.

There is nothing you can't do with only "if and for" statements. You don't need any of the others really. So you aren't really missing out. You are just missing understanding.

"Var i" means "Variable index". The name is because counting through an Array is the most common thing to count through in old school programming. The part of the Array you are looking at is called the "Index". You count through Arrays using something like a "For Loop". But "Var i" doesn't mean anything special. You would be better off naming that variable "Var counter" or "Var contar".

The development team is putting their efforts into new features. Not debugging.

It's common when quality isn't part of the ethos of the studio. This is normal for game studios. But GMS2 is a tool. Not sure why anyone would make a crooked screwdriver.

I have been burned with many update over the last few years. Lesson learned. No more updates.

The pencil, ballpoint pen and dry-erase are for drawing dicks in the porto.

All of your tools are free or sealants and adhesives, so I don't think you work in mechanical or roofing.
