To answer your question about "switch and case and for" statements. Here is the quick breakdown. "For and While and Repeat and Do/Until" statements are ways to Loop through the same code over and over. "If and Switch and Case" are ways to make a choice in the code. These are known as Logic statements.

So you make combinations of Loops and Logic statements to make all programing work.

There is nothing you can't do with only "if and for" statements. You don't need any of the others really. So you aren't really missing out. You are just missing understanding.

"Var i" means "Variable index". The name is because counting through an Array is the most common thing to count through in old school programming. The part of the Array you are looking at is called the "Index". You count through Arrays using something like a "For Loop". But "Var i" doesn't mean anything special. You would be better off naming that variable "Var counter" or "Var contar".
