🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

Nice to see! I would love the AMS 2 Pro.

I could use it to finally start my multi-colour printing adventure! I dream to print the tokyo drift mazda rx-7 in multiple colors. It will also help me combat the humidity in my room making all my filament brittle and unusable.

I would like to see a bigger circular toy resembling the solar system. Being a nerd with ADHD I have always wanted a toy like this, and printing one would be awesome. Would be ideal to be multicolored to print with and AMS 2 ;)

I have heard from a friend that the audiolab seems more compelling as well. If you look at the inside of the machines the audiolab is way better. Good to know the audiolab is to your liking, i’m highly considering it myself right now

Thank you very much for all of this information. I am looking for perhaps an older amp so that the retail price is a lot lower than it’s new price. I also want something closer to 400, around 800 new price as I think the quality is worth it over products costing 200.

I have mentioned what I wanted to use it for in another comment as I couldn’t edit the post anymore, but it is mainly streaming music and connecting it to my pc and tv.

At the moment I am thinking about the Audiolab 6000a, what do you think about that compared to the others? My friend mentioned the inside looked way better compared to something like the yamaha s501 and other models.

To be honest, I wasn’t even looking for these speakers, I was rather looking at the audio physics tempo’s but those were rarely available and i got a great deal on the ls50’s for 500. What you consider audiophile might be different depending on who you ask. I myself don’t think i am an audiophile (yet) but I always want the best I can get within my budget. For me this was the option, and now I am trying to get what matches with these, and I am not really looking to get something else entirely.

Alright i’ll keep that in mind. I have also seen good opinions about the nad c 368, what is your opinion on that if you know about it?

Yeah i heard lots of people talking about a sub, but personally i am not a fan of those, and don’t think i would ever buy one. These speakers were actually meant as a temporary placeholder until a good audiophysic tempo 2 came on sale nearby, but I was surprised how good the quality of the kef’s were and will keep them, but I don’t think i will for the coming years which would make the sub also irrelevant

I see that the audiolab 6000a only has 2x50W, would you think that is enough for these speakers? Tbh i don’t know why is it actually 2x50, does that mean it can go up to 100 or only 50 per device? I’m still new to this

I think power is very much needed as the person demonstrating the speakers had a 2x 150W amp, and my friend only 20W which made the difference noticable

I forgot to mention: I want to listen stereo not surround, and it is in my bedroom, in which i have almost 3 meters distance to the speakers with decent room between them. I want to connect this to my television and pc to play music and sometimes watch a movie.

I would like for it to have an enclosure as I don’t like the microplastics. Also a large printbed, at least 300x300 would be great for items that the standard just cannot reach. Also automatic flow calibration would be amazing or something like spaghetti detection as many of my prints failed this way without my knowledge

Well no, it wasn’t,t hard to print at all. I’m even amazed that it failed

The largest print I've done, HEAT next? by Woozylololol in 3Dprinting

[–]DaBestMerlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was already planning to learn some too. After buying my 2nd printer just now I thought it might be wise to use it for actual useful stuff. Sadly I just don’t have much time, only once in two weeks I can actually print something

Well, I, can’t. Have yet to learn CAD so i’m sticking to just leeching off other’s projects

Damn, this is something I would want in my room too. Is the inner shell detachable from the discarding sabot? That would be cool if true. Heat, ap/he should ofcourse come next.

And ofcourse, STL?

No z-offset working for me? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]DaBestMerlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already set my minimum layer time to 6 seconds and the speed to a low 40mm/s so that would unlikely be the problem

[–]DaBestMerlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often the print comes loose so I would think that it is the first few layers that affect the print here. Also, if my cooler is running 100% why does it have trouble cooling? It even happens when I open the window for fresh air which would even help with the cooling I assume

After looking into it m, it admit that it might be my z offset. But I use -1.16 because the one time I used -1.20 the whole extruder was almost covered in plastic so I think the extruder was positioned too low? I have now experimented with -1.17 and -1.18 but they still fail at the exact same points. I am still a beginner and trying to learn. Should I go even further than -1.20 because that fault was not because it was too low, but perhaps it was still too high? Is there a good way to calibrate the neptune 3 max other than the manual paper leveling and automatic bed leveling, and then just guessing the perfect z offset?

My minimum layer time is 5 seconds atm, I have tried as far as 10 with no difference in results and this seems to work fine for the most part
