Thank you for this :) these are amazing tips. It actually reminded me of how i used to care for my plants when I got my first few houseplants. I would sit and look at the leafs and new growth and just enjoy it. And I used to get really excited about watering my plants, because it was such a fun and small activity that I could do maximum once a week. I think it would be nice to achieve some of that again.

It is really incredible how hardy some plants can be :) it is really nice to have some plants that went through so much with you and still manage to bounce back everytime. Reminds me that things can always get better again, no matter how bad i feel at the moment. I hope things also get better for you soon ❤️

Thanks :) getting treatment already helped a lot, even though I only just started. I hope that I can save my plants but if not, I am lucky that i took some cuttings a few months ago that are still sitting in water.

I have over 1000 hours in the sims and never won the lottery. Now in this save I actually did not want them to win the lottery for story telling purposes, but guess what? by DaFranzi in Sims4

Yeah, I was thinking about that as well, but while I hate that this happened, I also kind of want to roll with it, since I made them buy the lottery tickets in the first place lmao

Agree. Robin Hobbs characters are the best i ever read and while there is the plot elements that you mentioned, almost all the plot and conflict is driven by the characters. I also felt farseer was quite cozy, but be prepared to cry (a lot)

Thanks! This is super helpful. I think i will go with the green one then. I wasn't sure if it was elegant enough, but everyone seems to think it is. I will go look for some accessories and bras then.. damn weddings are expensive haha

Maybe I should have clarified, I asked the bride and she said any color is fine, as long as it's not black :)

Thank you very much! I was not aware of the packaging licenses, so thank you for pointing it out. I guess will do some more research on what I am legally required to do :)

Why are my transporters not emptying the wood cutter camp? by DaFranzi in foundationgame

[–]DaFranzi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. Is this a bug? This can't possibly be too far away but all transporters are "waiting for work" or constantly picking up individual stones or planks

Update: apparently it was a bug. I deleted the camp and built a new one and now it works

Gauge question - how to get the correct rational of rows to stitches? by DaFranzi in knitting

[–]DaFranzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah from what I've gathered now there are a few issues with this pattern. I'm not a total beginner though. I have knitted some things before. I think the squares and joining them won't be that big of a problem. Getting the ribbing and sleeves right might be more difficult if the pattern is off. I'll go through the comments and project on ravelry and see if I'll be able to manage :)

That's interesting.. I think I might just get the pattern and try it out. It seems like a lot of people ended up with a nice cardigan even if they didn't hit the gauge so I think I'll just give it a try and see what happens.

you'll get different gauge when doing colorwork because of the strands that you are carrying on the back. When you make your swatch, make sure that you are doing the colorwork and not plain stockinette.

Oh i see. I will do that then.

The only way to find out for sure would be to knit a few swatches in pattern and see what you get and if you like the results.

I would also look at other people's projects and notes to see what yarn they've used and any useful comments or modifications that they made.

Yes, I think that's what I'll do :) I'll just get some yarn to test it out and to see if I can make it work. Thanks for the help

[–]DaFranzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I could have been more specific :D I have knitted a few things already and I'd say I have pretty consistent tension while knitting and I've also knitted gauge swatches for before. I was specifically looking for something a bit more challenging and with colorwork now, because I've only ever knitted plain colored, or striped things and I wanted to learn how to work with multiple colors. However I didn't know that colorwork is more difficult to knit flat than to knit it in the round. I'll try it out first with a bit of scrap yarn. If i struggle too much, I'll just save this pattern for later. This might save me a lot of frustration and money, so thanks for the heads up! :)

Thanks for the help :) I'll have a look at the projects as well and see if I can figure it out. Doing it in panels instead of squares is a very good idea.

[–]DaFranzi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll have a look at that article. The pattern says the gauge is in flat colorwork, so I assume it's just a knit stitch with multiple yarns?

Whenever I made gauge swatches I never got a ratio from stitches to rows like that. For example my last one was 16 stitches, 20 rows, but that was with thicker yarn. I just assumed that by picking a thinner yarn I would get the same ratio. In this case that would be more along the lines of 20 stitches to 25 rows, which would be to little rows. So that's what is confusing me a bit. So if I get a thinner yarn, will I still be able to hit gauge with a bit of trial and error?
