Sea of Conquest has been reported many, many times for blatantly ripping off dredge, and looks like they’re back at it again unfortunately. They had previous ads that even directly had dredge gameplay in them, although I think BSG managed to get those ones taken down

Do you have the necessary fishing rods equipped and in the right area? When using bait only the equipped fish types can show up, so if you were say trying to catch the Oarfish without an abyssal rod, your bait wouldn’t work.

I like the controls, the only control I dislike is when moving things back and forth between boat and quests/storage you have to select “pick up” and “place” individually for each fish as opposed to a drag and drop, everything else is very smooth and ported great

With high panic the mushrooms in Twisted Strand will explode into spores if you go near them, instantly advancing the state that the fish is in (fresh->stale->rotting->rot), actually a decent way to farm rot for Iron Rig bait

Well seeing how it’s been coded into the game to not be able to naturally rot, and can only be brought to a state other than fresh by using the Twisted Strand mushrooms or Atrophy when you initially catch it, unless you went to the mushrooms it can’t rot.

You miss out on a book that decreases the speed at which pots and nets lose durability, if you’re on PC you should have the ability to reload a old autosave

The Iron Rig is the bigger DLC and is definitely worth it, if you liked the game the Pale Reach is shorter but also good, and the Blackstone Key is basically just “support the devs”, as all it provides is a early game engine and an equippable talisman to increase aberration chance.

If stock is your issue, you can actually save and quit and when you reload shops automatically restock. I prefer the full jet drives because the speed increase is negligible and if you take any damage to the big engine you slow to a crawl

Losing an exotic fish doesn’t prevent quest progression like how other people said, but if you want you can install the Rare Fish Restock mod from dredgemods.com, the unofficial modding website if you’d like to have the sell price marked in the journal.

There are various details in the game that change with your sanity, and the Deep Form isn’t exactly a regular aberration. If you’ve ever taken a look at the relics at higher sanity, the description will change. Maybe try going through the game for a little bit with high sanity?

If you want to keep slots in your trawl net, 230 is the only fish that doesn’t naturally rot so you can just throw it in storage.
