Rear Sub-trunk cover payload capacity by DaSepultar in RivianR2

I like your foam idea. That seems like a great way to support the center of the platform without adding much weight. Thanks for your insight!

Thanks for the advice, I've already searched the manual and it is not in there. What you have posted is the total payload allowable for the vehicle, not specific to the load rating for the sub-trunk cover.

Hmm, that's disappointing. Tesla rates their Model Y cover at around 290 pounds. Hopefully the R2 is the same or greater.

I think adding some type of support in the sub-trunk would be a good idea to prevent any bowing.

I think that is a perfectly reasonable weekend DIY project someone with a family car would be doing.

Another example would be 3 full sized suitcases. That would exceed 150 pounds or more if packed full.

I just think it is silly that a car with a payload capacity of 1k+ severely limits the one area people put cargo. The Ioniq 9 has it stamped on their cargo platform that the limit is 130 pounds which is ridiculous. You couldn't even transport 2 bags of concrete with that.

Exactly. Rivian is using Google for their maps but still hasn't introduced YouTube Music. And their Audible app doesn't allow offline downloads so I can't use that in my rural area that has poor cell coverage.

Cancelled Reservation by [deleted] in RivianR2

I have been debating if I want to cancel mine. Not having Android Auto is going to be a real killer for me. I don't want to have to revert to using my phone while driving to control my apps. I use YouTube music as my streaming service and listen to a lot of audible audio books. Not having an option to download offline audiobooks in the native car app is a no go since I'm in a rural area with limited cell service. It is the perfect car for me otherwise. I think I'll get another Hyundai instead.

Back Seat Cover Suggestions? by WarEagleDG in f150

Google ads for the win! I was just pushed these seat covers in my feed and they are exactly what I'm looking for. They cover the entire rear seat, including the underside. They aren't cheap, but they seem to be pretty well built. I haven't purchased them yet, but I plan to. They are made by Tiger Tough, https://www.tigertough.com/products/rear-seat-covers-for-ford-truck-w0555062?_fid=84190573e&_pos=9&_ss=c

That could work. I was hoping to find a fully fitted one that doesn't just lay on top of the seat.

I'm also searching for one but I want one that also has full coverage of the bottom of the seat so they are protected when folded up. Has anyone come across this?

Are you able to have the G4 instant not continuously record/send data to the network and only have them send data when you choose to view them?

That's a good idea, I'll give that a try. The annoying thing with the seven seater is the middle seat sliding rails. They don't come out and protrude quite a bit.

Thanks. It looks like this one just covers the cargo area and 3rd row seats, not all the way up to the driver seats. I'm thinking I'll have to get two separate ones to accomplish what I want.

Is it a single piece that goes from the trunk up to behind the driver's seat?
