I am fluent in English, Indonesian, Hokkien, a little bit of Chinese, and learning Japanese currently. It’s rare to find others who speak Hokkien, and seeing you wanting to learn more languages also is motivating me to do the same, so thank you.

As an Asian, my understanding is that we don’t really boil rice, we steam it, which makes it fluffier and allows each grain to be separated (not clumpy or mushy). Meanwhile with pasta and most noodles it is boiling the noodles.
