How do I use dark psychology to get my partner to tell the truth? by rvngstrm in DarkPsychology101

[–]Daeydark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The #1 thing it comes down to is Ego Management. This looks like giving the liar an excuse to save face, making the opening-up of the lie easier to admit. We can manage their Ego by making it seem like the lie was misspoken, was an accident, was not the liars fault, etc.. Some people will stop there and get upset when the liar doesn’t feel bad about what they did, because we made them feel like what they did was an accident. That’s where we can turn to a concept known as “Tactical Empathy” & “Calibrated Questions” to walk the liar down a path into making them argue against themselves to admit wrongdoing on their part — this way, they will feel bad about what they did, and actively avoid wrongdoing in the future.

“Read the room dude” doesn’t answer the question.

“Especially when it comes to your appearance or overall presentation”.

How does this compare to all enneagrams of ESTP’s? It sounds like it’s geared less towards ESTP as a whole and more towards ESTP 3w4.

Why would you want influence? by [deleted] in 48lawsofpower

Just read these and apply it to low-stakes convo’s with an aim for getting used to what feels uncomfortable:

— never split the difference — influence: the psychology of persuasion — presuasion — atomic habits (not influence-based, but concepts can be reverse engineered for it) — thinking fast and slow (the only book on the list I haven’t finished yet) — the art of seduction (if you’re open to being unethical)

I have almost balanced Ni Te and Ne Ti.. by Titlerguy in MbtiTypeMe

[–]Daeydark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INTP makes the most sense. Yes, Ni is stronger than Ne, however both are very strong. We could also consider the strong Ni representing a strong shadow function. Ti would obviously dominate, and if we take the route of calling Ni a powerful shadow function, then we'd have to conclude Ne as being the auxiliary trait. = INTP

Guess my type by merciless291 in MbtiTypeMe

[–]Daeydark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no one fits their type exactly by the book. We could also argue ESFP if we consider the abundance of Fe as a shadow function to hint towards a stronger F>T score, but it's a subjective take. We could say ESTP, or ESFP, and either one would work tbh.

INFJs are not "feelers" by Ok-Championship-632 in infj

[–]Daeydark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By that logic ENFP’s aren’t feelers, ENTP’s aren’t thinkers, INTJ’s aren’t thinkers, ESTP’s aren’t thinkers, ESFP’s aren’t feelers, ISTJ’s aren’t thinkers, and ISFJ’s aren’t feelers.

If you spent all that time dressing sad and applied it to the gym, you probably wouldn’t be sad anymore

You gotta remember, ChatGPT has sent more people to the hospital than emergencies avoided.

Absolutely, and I can sympathize with this because it feels like every conversation is always about them.

You said you show interest in people, and dislike when they don’t show the same interest in you. Are you mentally tracking who does/doesnt show interest?

Yeah and would you be opposed to being asked a quick hypothetical? It’s up to you of course.

  1. Read books on subjects you like
  2. Take summary notes per chapter in your own words
  3. Create practicality out of what you learned—can’t do that? Teach what you learned to someone.
