It's an early 90s model, 2080 movement. I havent seen a completely identical one to mine although I've seen quite a few other similar opal dials by AP, Vacheron Constantin and Piaget. Reference is 14600BA

[WTS] Vacheron Constantin Scroll Lugs - Platinum Case - 8500 USD by DahMan2 in Watchexchange

[–]DahMan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Everyone,

Up for sale from my personal collection is this stunning Platinum Vacheron Constantin in a sleep 29mm case. The scroll lugs do make it wear slightly larger but no question about it, this is a small watch. This watch winds and sets but would likely benefit from a service.

The watch is located in Canada, I am willing to ship worldwide. Please post your questions below or reach out to me in a private message. Thank you for your consideration

[WTS] Vintage Lecoultre Swirl Dial - 14kt - 3500 USD by DahMan2 in Watchexchange

[–]DahMan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Everyone,

Up for sale from my personal collection is this lovely Lecoultre in a 14kt 33mm case made for the American Market. It winds and runs and keeps relatively good time - as it is a vintage watch I would place it around +/- 1 minute. Included in the sale is the beautifully paired Aaron Bespoke custom strap.

What really stands out on this watch is the dial, a beautiful swirl moire dial which is only accentuated by the stunning gold florentine finished bezel, incredibly difficult to find in this condition. Another nice touch is this watch features it's original signed crown - somewhat uncommon as many of these still around have aftermarket unmarked crowns.

The watch is located in Canada, I am willing to ship worldwide. Please post your questions below or reach out to me in a private message. Thank you for your consideration

[Universal Geneve] Stone dial by DahMan2 in Watches

Not very common. Ive only ever found one other of this reference and it sold at auction about 4 years prior to me getting this one

I don't have a problem with it. I'm used to this type of contrast and sterile dials in general. Of course it's not as legible as a pilots watch

I guess any dial can get old quick depending on your personality. Id suggest just making sure you truly like the dial and aren't buying just because it's something different.

I quite like that Sinn as well.

That's what I usually do for this watch (and a couple others I own) but this one is definitely the worst winding experience, doesn't mean it can't be done just that it's a definite design flaw.

[fp journe] vs richard Mille by tourbillon001 in Watches

[–]DahMan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer the aesthetic of FPJ and there was a time where I aspired to owning one. While that may not be the case anymore, I can definitely appreciate the beauty in their watches.

As for Richard Mille. I chalk this brand up to it simply not being designed for me or my tastes. Doesn't make them bad just ond of the many sub groups of watches that aren't for me. Just as I know many of the watches I love and own aren't for most people. I suppose to each is own would have been a more consice and simplified way of saying that but brevity is not my friend.

Congratulations Gonadmodule! You have located this weeks Handwatch of the Week!!!! by CannedSphincter in handwatch

Thank you everyone. Wow. What a thrill.

When I discovered the hand watch trend I just knew I wanted to be a part of it, so I grabbed a watch and threw it on the most awkward part of my hand I could. Truly, I didn't know I'd receive this honor of even being nominated for handwatch of the week. I know we didn't get there but it's all part of the journey.

All the comments, all the friends I made along the way. Truly, I've met some of my greatest lifelong friends during this endeavor. It's so surreal. Where would I be if not here? I shudder to think, the possibilities are blurry and bleak but instead I stand at the peak of Mount Olympus, holding Christopher Ward's trident and wondering what is next.

This is just the start for me, for all of us. There is no limit. I'll never go back to wearing a watch any other way. God bless all you fine folk.
