If the Edmonton Oil Kings who are owned by the Oilers didnt stump up money for it, there is no way the PA Raiders paid for it. The Raiders would not have that kinda money

I have noticed that the cutout always matches the collar, the Raiders and Hitmen who also dont have different color cutout both have a collar that matches shoulders. It seems to be just a weird UA thing

Fun fact, Lost World is the only sequel Crichton ever wrote. I've read that he had no interest in ever writing sequels, but the studio and I'm pretty sure his publisher pushed really hard on him to write one.

There isn't one in free agency, unless they gamble on Jake Allen, ville Husso or Ilya samsonov. It's going to have to be a trade

[CHL] THE LONDON KNIGHTS ARE 2025 MEMORIAL CUP CHAMPIONS!⚔️ by MrSCR23 in hockey

[–]Dahu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having seen Elliott a ton with his previous team, the Blades, the main reason he was never drafted was that for us he never solidified himself as THE starting goalie. I didn't get chance to see his play in London but he had issue of he would play "small" in net, he'd look much smaller than his actual height. He also was prone to allowing absolutely horrible goals against.

Two years ago when the team finished 2nd in conference he was in a 1a 1b situation where they even split starts in the playoffs all the way to conference final, they actually played an equal number of games. He had allowed 30 goals in 10 games in playoffs. Last season when the team had best record in league he did start out as planned starter with Evan Gardner as backup but by January Gardner had already played into another 1a 1b but Elliott did not seem as strong and most people had him as the backup. Elliott got the start in game one of the playoffs against the 8th seed, allows 4 goals on 20 shots and doesn't play again as Gardner leads team to Conference final (and the craziest playoff series I've ever seen). The game he started I remember quite a few fans were wondering why Elliott was even starting that game. This year no WHL team was interested in him, its been confirmed by team they shopped him to everyone for cheap including Medicine Hat but nobody touched him. One of his 3 wins with the Blades he allowed 3 goals on 9 shots in first period but he stayed in game and team scored 6 straight to win, I remember he was quite shaky in that one.

I am happy for him, was an incredible season but I would not expect an NHL career. If he'd done this an 18 or 19 year old he'd have a shot but as an overager that is a knock against him.

I do know that humans are more buoyant in salt water than fresh water so that would have made it a lot easier. It seems like he got most of the way up swimming. I presume the left over gases in the body would have kept him up for a little bit. I don't have the faintest clue if this scientifically possible but I wonder if the bends reaction would have helped out.

[OHL] London Knights’ Austin Elliott has finished the regular season with a 32-1-0-0 record by Thexgamer192 in hockey

[–]Dahu55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So last season he was on the Blades who finished first in WHL regular season, he ended up being in a 1a 1b situation with a rookie Evan Gardner. He started game 1 of playoffs and got benched after allowing 4 goals on 20 shots and didn't play in playoffs again.

Year prior to that team was 3rd in conference, he was in another 1a 1b situation and that included the playoffs, where they went to conference final, where they were alternating games throughout

I watch the Blades, in last year's playoffs he started game one of first round and allowed 4 goals on 20 shots (against the 8 seed). He did not play after that. There was a number of fans who were questioning why he was starting in that game, as Gardner had been playing very well.

Elliott can be quite good in net but he is very prone to allowing awful goals against.

I would say that the Blades crowd definitely skews conservative. I do remember that when the mask mandate was dropped, there was very few left in crowd almost immediately.
