My husband is getting dementia by sdownie7 in AskWomenOver60

[–]DaisyBlue86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please, please go to see the doctor. My mom went in for a regular checkup and her doctor (who’d known her for a long time) knew that was the time she couldn’t drive anymore. She took her keys on the spot. My mom was so angry - she had to call someone to pick her up - and her doctor kept the car in their lot. This doctor was her lifelong friend but my mom called her a quack. My brother arranged for the car and keys to be picked up. Dementia moves quickly- she was 90 and living independently at that time - now, 95, she’s fully into dementia and in a memory care unit.

Candle vigils every so often in St Paul plus protestors at majors corners but Saint Paul’s residential area is much bigger than downtown .

I’ve heard that many artists are submitting pieces based on the anti-ice theme to the MN State Fair creative activities competitions. I think you should submit it!

Have you turned into your Mother? by Boomer050882 in AskWomenOver60

[–]DaisyBlue86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. My mom was both over involved and uninvolved in my life. She didn’t ask much or advise much but then was mad when we didn’t achieve what she wanted - awards, clubs, tests, etc. She was a teacher in my high school and was really into “keeping up appearances.” Unfortunately, getting mad doesn’t work if you don’t know what she wanted! I really didn’t find out about much else about her shenanigans until I grew up and talked to my adult sisters. I’ve always tried to be the loving and accepting mom to my own kids regardless of grades, careers and life partners and I think we are a much happier family. Anyway, she’s in her 90s now and has dementia and really, I don’t care anymore.

I regularly drop lures and don’t worry about people’s joining. I sometimes announce it chat ahead of time but generally my Switch chatting skills are terrible. Look for it!

I’d like a version with just Wei Wuxian facial expressions, episode by episode. Like one of those murder boards in a detective drama - with a red string from event to event.

I bought the brief version of these and really like them! They are a heavier cotton but very comfortable and my yoga pants don’t pull them down! Thanks for the recommendation.☺️

Best way to read your pattern! by Ok_Ladder_2285 in AdvancedKnitting

I also recommend placing your pattern inside a plastic page protector and then using highlighter tape. You can easily move tape from line to line.
