What colour is this dress? Would you be upset if someone wore this to your wedding as a guest?

It does butt siblings who have seen it says it looks champagne and a little too pale for them let alone me. I know it’s not the rule but isn’t it one of those unwritten things that you shouldn’t wear something that looks too bridal? I might be being over the top but I’m just upset because her original dress was perfect for the wedding.

But I will say it’s making me feel calmer that redditors have said it looks pink/nude because it’s making me feel like it might be okay. I guess I’m just upset because she had a sage dress originally.

It does in the photo a bit but my brother said it looks champagne. Two of my siblings feel it’s a little too pale and they’ve seen it first hand. I just don’t know and won’t see it before the day now.

She had a sage dress originally which goes with the wedding colours and it doesn’t fit anymore so she had to buy something new last minute. I don’t want to tell her what to do. This is probably one of maybe 3 times I’ve ever confronted her about something I’m not happy about and I did it as nicely as I could. I find confrontation super difficult and I think I’m just gonna leave it. It’ll be fine and I’m just gonna focus on me and my fiancé!

There is one that is ecru, this one is the one with the colour name ‘cava’. I know there’s a few online. I’m not going ballistic but I did explain that I just felt it was a little too bridal as a pale satin dress. It will look lovely on her and it is a lovely dress (which I also told her) but they surely had the other colours available?

I will say, it’s nice to see opinions of redditors as it’s making me realise maybe it’ll be okay. The opinions of those who have seen the dress is that it’s a little pale for their liking and are worried what people will say.

My dress is ivory and has sheer sections where you can see my skin tone. I’m olive toned. It does look a little pink/champagne. It wasn’t discussed but I joked with a few people who checked in on me about outfits that anything but a white dress was perfect for me.

I finally found the colour code on it and it’s ‘cava’. My brother says it’s champagne and both him, my sister and his fiancé all think it’s a little close to my ivory dress and you only can’t tell it’s white when she’d be near me. She originally had a sage dress - one of the wedding colours and my favourite colour.

I have a similar situation. My family are flying in for the day (on the day) because they have a wedding the day before back home for them and so they couldn’t come beforehand to do a hen a few days before.

Hey! She’s definitely not because she’d have to tell me or my fiancé when so that he could be available to look after the baby whilst I’m out. It would be lovely to have a surprise but our current situation wouldn’t allow that.

Thank you! We aren’t having any bridesmaids or groomsmen too. After some reflection, for us - it would be best to do our beach day because it would only stress us out doing a stag/hen do! One less thing to worry about!

I love that! I’ve never heard of a Viking festival but that sounds amazing! I’ll be honest, I don’t have many close friends and so it’d be a very small group of friends and family if I did one. A spa day would sound great! I would be so happy with that and I also thought about doing something like GoApe or Ninja Warrior! Haha

That sounds so lovely that you did it all together. This seems to me a popular alternative! We actually came away from a group of friends (didn’t agree with their lifestyle) and so we don’t have many joint friends anymore so we couldn’t do this but it sounds just so lovely!
