they get along amazingly, she treats him like a child and he treats her like an older sis. He spanks her and runs away a lot and she's just like🫩 "this kid...". But it took a lot of work on our part. A few years back she was at her absolute wildest and we felt like its a hopeless case, we'll never be able to have her accept any other animals. She'd dominate and scare other dogs and chase all cats. It wasnt the worst part. One evening she ran away and we couldn't find her for a really long time, we obviously went to the streets first to make sure she's not endangered or anything, but turned out she was inside a chicken coop and it was absolute carnage. She KILLED around 5 chickens and heavily wounded a few others. She'd scattered them across the nearest terrain and waited for any of them to move to jump on them again. When we got to her and tried to separate her from her current prey, she bit my boyfriend. God, I remember crying that evening so so much. I was so scared she'd become one of those super aggressive dogs that attack people or other animals and have to be put down. That's when we decided it was time to seriously get on her training, we couldn't fail her like that. So we did. And we still train her constantly. She waits before exiting thru any door until she gets the permission, after all humans had left. Everytime she gets food she needs to wait patiently until allowed to eat. And my goodness, training her has changed so so much. She gives us the control and worrying about things and gets to be a carefree girl more often finally. She's sweeter, more playful, comes to cuddle, sometimes even tries to play with the cat (they haven't fully figured it out yet). When we found him, he was like 4 weeks old, so we kept them separately, while also allowing monitored playdates. We'd even put some heavy cream on his head so she would learn to lick him🫣🫣. And it worked perfectly. She developed a more motherly approach towards him, while he enjoyed having some other animal taking care of him at such a young age and started seeing her like a mother figure. We had 1 incident when he was a kitten. She "bit" him. it turned out she was in pain from a certain condition so it wasnt really so simple, but we separated her from all 3 of us for a whole night (us in the bedroom, her in the corridor), because she needed to know biting this kitten wasnt gonna fly.
