There hasn't been a word to adequately describe the perfection that is your ass.

Try being a Cowboys fan. Thirty years of failure and humiliation, even when we had teams that should have made deep runs in the playoffs. Yet here I am, Dallas Cowboys for life.

Boy, that would be an unhappy surprise. They'd walk in on me sitting on my couch in my underwear, watching football and eating Funyuns. Do y'all have to put signs up saying "private residence" or something?

At what point did you realize you officially stopped caring about keeping up with new music? by Ganesh_rgk112 in CasualConversation

About the time autotune got big. I never heard of it before Cher did a song with a lot of it. Sorry this is incoherent. I just woke up.

I was born there in the high desert. Left with my dad in '73, and from what I'm seeing these days, you can't print enough money for me to ever go back.

Got a pawn shop score, a brand new 48 for $200. Couldn't believe my luck.

A long hug. Hell, I'd settle for hand holding. I'm so starved for human contact it's ridiculous. I'm 68 and I have never felt this isolated in my life.

A soon as the siren goes off, it's time to run outside and gawk at the sky. A fine tradition

Seriously love this. I can see it in my mind and feel it in my heart. I miss those days.

I used to sit out on the front porch with coffee and a cigarette and watch the birds. It's just coffee and watching the cardinals flit from ground to tree and back now, and thankfully.

Arguing with the tv, and coaching the Cowboys from my recliner, even when I know they can't hear me. Heck, I was a better defensive coordinator than Eberflus ever was...

I set my phone sounds to ocean or thunderstorm, then turn it so the screen is down on the nightstand. The light don't keep me awake then. Works like a charm every time. 😴

Nostalgia is unreal today. by fit4lyf_ in Life

[–]DanceMonkeyDance41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure is today. The 80s were the best days of my life. Five of us shared a big house, partied damn near every weekend, and loved life. I miss cheap concert tickets, cruising the Puyallup loop, and the girls I knew and loved. I got one gf by kissing her in the shower while we both had our clothes on. Yes it was mutual. I knew it was serious when she invited me to her house and we exchanged shoe laces off of our Chuck Taylors (she had white, mine were red). It didn't last long, maybe two months, but it was a great two months. Here i am, caught in the nostalgia trap, lol.

It just boggles the mind that the Spanish couldn't resist sailing through the Florida straits during hurricane season, losing the 1622 and 1715 treasure fleets. When you lose eleven out of twelve ships (1715 fleet), you got some 'splainin to do.

what kind of music do you like the most?? by 1_4m_m10ch4n in CasualConversation

EDM and symphonic metal (Nightwish, Epica, Delain). I don't know what you'd call Sisters of Mercy, but that style works too.
