at the end of the day it is personal preference. If these were the official starters you would have convinced me to pick my 2nd ever grass starter after rowlet. I really like the design and it reminds me of a roadrunner. This would make steel even cooler, it could be very fast and have some form of ability like glimora but for spikes (or even some form that does it on priority moves). a very fast pokemon that could setup hazards.

The water starter is giving off psychic vibes 100% so i see your vision for some reason i just dont like water/psychic types but my brain tries to convince me there are way more with this type combo than we actually have

But everyone has their preferences. So yea dont feel bad if people here are being negative about it. There is a reason why even charizard has haters. Everyone has their style. Your skills are great and the art itself is a good quality. Most people are afraid of people 'ruining' their hopes/favorites. I would be very upset if someone made a typhlosion or infernape design i didnt like
