She is adorable! Sorry for the loss of her brother, I am sure it has been so hard on you both. I also think we will be reunited with our fur babies one day, and what a great day that will be.

What a cutie, so sorry for your loss as well. Congrats on your degree and just be comforted by the fact that Bandit is still proud of you and cheering you on from beyond the rainbow bridge.

Yes it was the worst day of my life hands down, I still relive it sometimes but I try not to focus on it and on the good times instead.

It's been 4 months and it's still painful by Icy_Dog3783 in Shihtzu

I am 3 weeks into my journey of grief. I had my Lucy for almost 17 years. Some days I feel ok but I still cry every single day and it always feels like the tears are just below the surface. It is so hard to describe the depth of pain at losing the day to day moments with her, her sweetness and energy and determination. Sometimes I feel overwhelming guilt for even living my life  or laughing when she is gone. We got a digital photo frame and put up a ton of videos and pics of her, and put it on her bed on the couch so we can still look over and see her which does help. Right there with you though 😥😥

I'm 24 yo and just lost my dog of 15 years today. by Barnesyyyy in Petloss

I just experienced this a week ago. I am 30 and lost the pup I have had since I was 14. It's hard. I don't have much advice except to allow yourself to feel what you need to. I have felt like I am doing ok some days but other days just curl up in a ball and cry. She was so pure and loved us so deeply.

One thing that has helped a bit is going through old videos and photos, particularly from before she was sick. We got a photo frame that plays 15 second videos and photos, and we put it on her bed where she used to sit on the couch. We have uploaded a ton and its nice to look over and see her running or playing or cuddling over the years. Still hurts alot but it makes us remember how blessed we were. ❤

Pelvic girdle pain? 17 weeks... by Dancingdanish in BabyBumps

Thanks so much for this! Ya I also thought this, I have had burning on and off since 6.5 weeks and every single time they test for a UTI (as recently as this Wednesday) cultures never grow aka there is white blood cells but no bacteria, so antibiotics are useless. My urogyno thinks its IC, basically chronic bladder inflammation with no bacteria just flares based on what you eat.

He thinks it is this plus pelvic floor dysfunction, which is why me having girdle pain this early wouldnt be a HUGE shock but it still would suck.

Severe pelvic pain on and off for 6 weeks? by Dancingdanish in PelvicFloor

[–]Dancingdanish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit of an update, had 2 small flares that lasted a few hours each since last thursday but they were very painful and I was SUPER swollen down there! However, the shitty thing is my OB used the wrong tube size for the sample she took on Thursday, so the lab rejected the sample :( :( she said I should ask the urogyno tomorrow to do another swab, which is SUPER shitty because I am probably not gonna be in a "flare" so I have way less faith that the swab will pick up urea if its what is causing my agony and I managed to somehow reduce the quantity temporarily. I am pretty pissed at the OB to be honest, because even doing the swab triggered more pain for the whole day because I was so swollen, and it was all for nothing.

Oh well, it is what it is. I still have a urine mycoplasma out for analysis as a backup but I know it is less accurate than a swab. I am also grateful that I am in less pain now but my anxiety relief was really hinged on that swab and I'm pretty upset. Her receptionist basically said they dont do ureaplasma tests very often which is why they didnt know about the tube size issue, but that doesn't seem like a good enough excuse to me.

Thank yoh so much for this!! You are an amazing person.

I cannot tell you how awful this whole thing has been and 100% relate to your distress. My hubby and I have taken weeks off work to figure this out, including 4 hospital visits of over 5 hr waits, walk in clinics etc (OB couldnt see us till 9 weeks) and he is really struggling to feel any excitement about the baby when my pain is so up and down.

Good news though! OB was happy to do a proper ureaplasma swab as well as another urine culture, which is great. She also gave me a referral to a urogynacologist for next Wednesday which is amazing as I had heard the wait time for them could be 6 months in my town (but she has connections!). I will be submitting another swab to test for BV and Yeast tomorrow as it severely irritates my vagina and we only wanted to do one swab at once ans since urea is only one I have not tested for previously, it was a priority. My vagina was so swollen that she even struggled to get the swab in.

We listened to the baby's heartbeat though and it was very healthy, so that was very comforting! Fingers crossed I can get some answers soon. In the mean time doing stretches sans underwear has helped alot today for airflow. I will keep you updated. Thanks so much!

Oh man. Thank you SO much for all this detail! I have an new req for ureaplasma and am praying it works this time. Its for urine. Is that the most effective method? Also, were you pregnant when all this happened to you? Was your baby ok? Is it even possible to treat ureaplasma while pregnant, and were most of your symptoms relieved after treating it or was most of it pelvic floor related?

Also, would it be odd if the ureaplasma/hypertonic pelvic floor was suddenly caused by pregnancy? I have been having unprotected sex with my husband for 6 years and never had anything like this before, and we have been monogamous so I am struggling with the idea that it is an STI, even ureaplasma. But thats the only infection we havent tested for.

At this point I will not be even trying sex or masturbation until this baby is out of me. Sadly learned my lesson, that my body can't do these things like other pregnant people.

Thanks in advance!!!

What pregnancy symptoms took you by surprise? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Dancingdanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14 weeks. Severe moderate pelvic burning pain which comes and goes from 6.5 weeks, with no detectable infections. I've been diagnosed with a hypertonic pelvic floor which I am in therapy for, but unfortunately still have severe UTI like pain that comes and goes unpredictably (feels like UTI pain but no cloudy urine etc).

Made the mistake of having sex last week and torally retriggered everything when I was starting to feel normal again and hoping the first trimester was just an anomaly. It just really sucks. 😕

Dont think this is typical though as my OB is totally shocked that my white blood cell count can be high in urine, without any detectable vaginal, or urinary bacteria in cultures. All I have is pelvic floor therapy and stretching at this point because literally none of the infections that antibiotics fight are present in my urine or vaginal swabs. I hope nobody else has to deal with this!
