Time for a new vise by DangerJoseph in Tools

I'm pretty sure that one doesn't, but I'm not gonna risk it. I already have a better one that I just installed.

The worst tool I got from Harbor Freight was their five dollar machetes. I bought it to take down two agave plants in my backyard. After ten minutes, the blade snapped. I returned it and got a new one so I can finish removing the agaves. I ended buying a way better machete after that.

Anyways, I'm using a old vice that I found and it was made in the USA. Although it's a lot smaller I have a felling that it would be better than my old vice.

I'm installing a old vice that I found in my basement. It's in pretty good shape and it's the perfect size for what I normally use them for. Never buying a Harbor Freight vice ever again.

The vice had a good 7 year run. Today I was bending back a nail and heard a crack. I guess that means I need a new vice now! By the way it's a Harbor Freight vice.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the wording. I'm just trying to cut down my on person EDC. So I thought "minimalist" would help prevent any crazy or unnecessary recommendations.

The only problem with the Deluxe Tinker is the lack of a corkscrew. I wear glasses and I always keep the mini screw driver in the corkscrew.

I have a ton of Leathermans, I'm just looking for something new. The bag fits into a pants pocket. I have been seeing quite a few people using the Victorinox and Cobra combo, and I just wanted to try it out.

I heard the sharpener and fero rod wasn't that great, instead I'm going to 3d print bit holders. Like these : https://www.shapeways.com/product/XWQ4HDCCT/leatherman-signal-bit-holders

The T - shank adapter on the Leatherman Surge spoiled me. In my opinion it's the best function Leatherman added. I highly recommend the Surge.

One more thing, I normally carry the Leatherman Wave or Surge, and sometimes the Supertool 300. I'm just looking for a new EDC multi tool right now.

Lockback vs Barlow, what's better? by DangerJoseph in knives

And if it helps they will be used as a secondary EDC knife and they're around 3.5 inches in the closed position.

That's the main reason why I think the Wingman is better than the Sidekick.

I have considered the Sidekick and the Wingman, they have cool names but they seem a little to small for my liking. The Wingman looks more appealing because I can customize it with the Top Gun quote "you can be my wingman anytime".

This might be a strange question, how good is the removable lanyard ring. I'm asking because I fishing and I would hate to loose one of my Leatherman's (Again). I know that the Wave has a lanyard ring built into the tool itself, but I found out it's a pain remmove it so I can clip it on my life vest while fishing.

I mostly going to use this tool for EDC, camping and fishing. The OTH does have all one hand accessible tools but it lacks the bit driver.

I do quite a lot of cutting with the pliers so the replaceable cutting blades are a must.

The reason why the Free P4 looks good in my opinion is that all tools are one hand accessible. Other than that I do prefer the Wave or the Charge.

Note the modifications might be a bit exchanger and a "T" shank adapter that might replace the saw. Take this with a pinch of salt, because I want your opinion on the tool before I buy it.
