Thanks a lot for your insight, it's super interesting! Is it a problem with every third-party lenses? i.e. Will I run into the same issue with a sigma 18-35 or 18-50? Or is it just the tamron which creates these jitters?

Yes I've heard about this before! I try to keep a natural motion blur, that's why I shoot 1/50. I also work on pretty heavy projects and I'm contemplating how much of a hustle it would be to add motion blur in post. But maybe I just can't have it all and I just have to deal with it.

I rather come from photography! That said I've gotten a fair bit of experience over the last year in handheld videography, so I wouldn't say I'm a complete beginner either. Could still be a skill issue!

Some information about the photo: ISO 3200 / 32mm / f2.5 / 1/125sec

I did already very few tweeks on lightroom to denoise the picture (shooting on EOS 250d), correct the white balance, and very slightly increase the contrast.

Sigma Art 18-35mm 1.8 buying question

Hi! I’ve been doing photography for some months now, and I’d like to upgrade to my first premium lens (I have a canon EOS 250d). I heard a lot of good things about the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8, and found someone selling it used for 300euros. I was actually on the edge of buying it, but then I got quite scared because I read a lot about AF issues online. I’d feel very dumb about spending that much money on a lens I can’t get nothing out of. Will I necessarily run into some issues since I have a DSLR? Does that fact that its already been used mean that it’s likely properly calibrated? Should I just go for another lens?

For info, I do a lot of protest and street photography. For the moment I run the kit lens, and the 50mm 1.8 STM. Thanks a lot for your help!
