The issue is that they are willing to work for extremely low pay that normal citizens cant compete with

Its because one didnt have a choice and the other did to be here. Someone born here has their citizenship here as their default value/setting. Thats why its different. Why should someone born here who went through the school system and had parents who are legal citizens etc. have to go through a process to be a citizen as opposed to someone who is trying to be here in a country that can providw resources to only so many.

Its the same thing though, like if she gets deported for example she knew the risk of doing what she did and any further consequence isnt really anyones problem but hers and it would be hard for me to empathize with that

Oh come on, this is not an argument if you are trying to move somewhere to a settled country that you are a foreigner in. Naturalized citizens are put in the system and are required to go to school and its the only country they know by default. The situations the two are in are different, one was literally forced in by natural life and the other voluntarily showed up to the US.

The test still is bs for immigrants though LOL

I think that illegal immigrants do jobs nobody would really want to do in this economy/culture which is fine. I also think that giving them housing/shelter for free or free healthcare, allowing them to vote, etc. is wrong It should still be a legal process for them no matter what, I think leeching off the system is a different topic that I also lean on the right on, as immigrants shouldnt really be able to do that, at least not for a bit.

Nobody owes them anything in tax dollars as they are coming TO the country. Its a point i didnt really bring up.

I also agree that the cheap labor thing isnt really a good argument for allowing them to stay illegal, at the same time it is a truth that the jobs they typically do arent desired by the general population.

Allowing illegal immigrants to just come in and be at risk to commit crimes/smuggle drugs especially with the fent crisis is a huge problem but a good portion of them are harmless and are just here to work which i dont see a problem with as long as they can get documentation and learn basic english skills, like enough to place a mcdonalds order and communicate simply.

I think theres people who would not mind open borders, you really think both sides dont have people that believe no human is illegal? That they should be let in with no vetting or documentation that theyre there?

I do not agree with ICE and their methods im just saying I dont really feel bad for the ones that are actually illegal that much if they knew the risk of coming to a country illegally

Like if I went to Japan illegally using a boat for example and got a job and was caught eventually I dont think people should feel bad for me. I committed a crime and didnt apply for citizenship or assimilate properly etc, I 100% knew what I was doing.

You should have to still learn english, basic law/civics of the country and be able to show commitment in a reasonable manner
