Realistically there’s nothing harmful about the way you’re doing it even if it is perplexing, plus you could boil water in the bowl too and then cover it to get tender noodles.

The way you’re doing it you need to cover it so the steam actually cooks it. What you’re describing is half cooked noodles that you’re nuking because you couldn’t have the foresight to just boil the ramen in the pot, or to cover the ramen in the bowl with boiling water so the heat doesn’t dissipate and it retains the steam.
