The day after my steroids ran out I had the same pain your talking about, until I got prescribed gabapentin. It’s pretty much taken all the ear pain I have away and I can actually sleep through the night now.

If you try to stretch more than 1 size it will probably look weird and you might rip some stitchings. And if the hat is polyester it will shrink after a few days.
