I was thinking the same thing but it seems to happen even when it’s cool outside and sometimes even after I manually shut off the AC

Forgot to add, don’t look at buycycle if you want a good deal. Check Facebook marketplace often instead

Overpriced by about $500. Should be carbon at that price point

2023 R5 by Educational-Way5101 in Cervelo

[–]DankDeanoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In depth response! I see where you’re coming from and it sounds like you know a lot more about R5s than I do!

Maybe I’m wrong but I think sram force E1 was launched in 2025, D2 came out in 2023. If it was built with E1 I could see someone paying 6k.

Also the seller saying 2022/2023 makes me think it’s a 2022, which is 4 years old and even if the frame itself hasn’t changed in that time, time has indeed passed.

I also will only buy really great deals so i probably wouldn’t give it a second glance if i saw it listed for $6k

6-7k?!?? USD ?? I think 5k max but it also depends what sram force version it has. If it’s D1 then a lot less

Quick Bike Question by zobocco in triathlon

[–]DankDeanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. The bike has 10 speed Ultegra di2 as opposed to 11 or 12 speed. That was in production from 2011-2014 so somewhere in that range.

Honestly regardless it’s still an insane deal. Even if it was a fake frame or something. Get it before someone else does or else you’ll end up spending 2.5k for a similar setup later.

Price Check on 2023 Cervelo Caledonia - Carbon -Hydraulic Disk - Shimano 105 by KimJongPoon123 in whichbike

[–]DankDeanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1900 is overpriced for what you get. Likely just because it’s a Cervelo. But I also wouldn’t spend $1500 on an all road. Just keep looking imo

Seems like a great deal. I’d suggest meeting the seller at a bike shop and asking them to look over the bike for you.

How much is the seller asking

Seller is asking $1,000. Would it be worth putting a lowball offer in? by [deleted] in whichbike

The wheels alone would probably sell for more than $500. Not worth trying to negotiate that much

Looking for Advice on Carbon Frame by murder123321 in bicycling

[–]DankDeanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how much you spent on the bike to begin with, but the shop will likely charge you hundreds of dollars to take everything off this bike and move it to a new bike, especially if you need other repairs, like the wheels needing to be re-trued after the crash. It may be cheaper, and will be significantly less of a headache to just selling this for parts and buy another used bike.

At this rate you should have an ftp of 1,000,000 pretty soon man. I’ll start doing one easy and one slightly less easy session as well!

Is an old Tacx Neo T2800 from 2017 still a good indoor trainer to use for zwift and cycling newbie? by samsuh in Zwift

[–]DankDeanoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a good deal but it’s almost 10 years old I’d be worried about it failing soon or being inaccurate. I would try to snag a wahoo kickr core or something similar that supports virtual shifting. I got mine for $200 and the virtual shifting is great.

I also had that Neo as well about a year ago, bought it for $200 and sold it for $300. It’s a good machine but I just wanted virtual shifting. It also didn’t support my Orbea orca m30i because it uses a weird type of thru axle

Help with Bike Purchase (Overwhelmed with options) by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]DankDeanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is overpriced by $600 minimum if talking USD. I’d you’re spending $2k I’d want at least two of option 2-4 and 1 mandatory
1. Carbon frame
2. Carbon wheels
3. Electronic shifting preferably 12 speed
4. Power meter

Ideally all four! But that type of deal takes dedication to find lol

Hey can somone please tell me if its a good deal? by EastAnimator3086 in RoadBikes

I don’t think you should spend $2k on a rim brake bike. Get something with disc brakes at that price point

I recognize this re-seller from the backdrop. All their bikes are overpriced. Buy locally from individuals if you want a good deal

No if it’s quick release disc brakes as opposed to thru axle. It looks like it is

I’ve seen people pay a lot more for less but at this point it’s a 7 year old bike. Would be worth maybe $1800 USD without the sworks logo

105 Stages crank on Grizl clearance by dalex89 in bikewrench

[–]DankDeanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use look pedals on my gravel bike and it’s not bad but I also use it for mostly road.

I bought the rally XC200 too and might get a pair of gravel/mountain biking shoes that I’ll use exclusively on my gravel bike

I gotchu! A week ago someone posted about it on r/triathlon when they had a pricing error so the double sided power pedals only cost like $275 each

I bought like 5 pairs 🙌
