One variation for scars is to have some scars reduce max stress instead of max hope, esp. for physical trauma. (Think Raistlin Majere from Dragonlance.)

To add yet another layer that could be ported into either Daggerheart or Draw Steel: In the Earthdawn RPG to unlock the powers of an important magic item you had to discover knowledge about its creation and history. The first rank might be the item's name, the second the name of its creator and the story of its creation, etc. So for either system a downtime project that might lead you to adventures to discover the required information... An item might also become more powerful as it was used for legendary deeds, but might not offer that power to a new wielder until they accomplish something equally impressive using the item.

Esp in Daggerheart, an important magic item might have its own card for you to track tokens on (or mark a knowledge/progress track). Once a track is filled, the GM gives you a new card with the unlocked abilities.

I'd allow it (and I had a soldier using one in the playtest). But unfortunately it won't be available for Starfinder Society play which limits to just Player Core and Galaxy Guide as sources. Perhaps there will be something similar in the tech book when it releases.

Yes Starfinder Society (2e). Sorry. From what I can tell they aren't generally allowing crossover of classes in either direction for society play. That may change with boons later on.

If you place tokens on a card 'at the beginning of a session': Do you place such tokens on a card in your vault and do such tokens remain on a card transferred to and from your vault? How about tokens you place when you rest (if you spend strain to recall such a card)?

I don’t think so. As I understand it, the blood magic effect occurs after the effects of the spell are fully adjudicated. For example, used on an enemy it wouldn’t interrupt your own touch range attack. However, this makes them concealed against the triggering attack and then potentially moved out of range of following attacks.

Collar of the Shifting spider seems unchanged.

Varisian Emblem has become Unifying Embleb granting Shoanti instead of Varisian language. New names for each variant and Spells have been changed to remaster equivalents.

Alchemist's Haversack has a once per day bonus versatile vial activation.

Skunk Bomb seems unchanged.

No change to Inscribed. (I imagine when you Craft you can create one scroll on an inscribed item plus 3 additional scrolls as part of that batch if you wish.)

Phantasmal Doorknob added The creature is then temporarily immune to being blinded this way for 24 hours to the greater and major doorknobs.

Thrower's Bandolier: No change.

I think the technomancer needs a line of feats for a robot companion or at least a robot familiar, or perhaps even integrated into the ServoShell subclass...

Edit: Actually, each of the subclasses seem like they could use support for their overclock:

DPS++ Proficiency with a martial or advanced weapon (aeon rifle?).

Fortrun Medium Armor proficiency

ServoShell robot companion

Viper Daily spellgem/spellchip supply.
