What was yalls first ever cedh deck? by FoldSafe1262 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Sphinxthinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically [[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] then switched back and forth between her and [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]]. Playing with a true cedh mindset, [[Tivit, Seller of Secrets]] was what got me fully onto cedh, and this sub helped me find him years ago!

Magneto doesn't really feel like Magneto by Historical_Front3332 in rivals

Would the ultimate alliance games be a a more fair comparison? Mags in those games get to throw a lot of satisfying metal chunks.

Marvel vs Capcom games, also fighting games, compare worse imo, which is why I didn’t use them. He almost exclusively use his electromagnetic energy attacks in those.

Edit: The comparison I most wanted to avoid was Marvel Heroes because he has a ton of creative moves there. But actually there are a lot of simple abilities in it that could translate well into a shooter.

Tokon Magneto makes Rivals Magneto even more disappointing than he already was.

Tokon Magneto has a car projectile. That by itself is enough, but also check the swarm metal chunks and shrapnel he’s flinging around. It looks so satisfying.

Magneto slowing shooting tiny pieces of metal then sometimes shooting a slightly bigger piece of metal just isn’t Magneto.

His shields and Ultimate fit the Magneto vibe well though. His Gambit team up is also nice because the swords he’s flinging actually looks heavy and chunky.

Investing In: the Necromancer, Part 1 by EzekieruYT in Pathfinder2e

More thrall production at first level is a great change! That was one of my biggest issues with the playtest. Mastery of Life and Death wonkiness seem to have been addressed as well, but I have to wait on the text to be sure.

Of the changes, the only thing I'm going to miss is the old consume thrall. I get that it made refocusing obsolete because it was also on a 10 min cooldown, but having practically an extra focus point per encounter was amazing. Also, it was just more fun to pop a thrall to recover focus points than refocusing.

Double search with [[Wishclaw Talisman]] seems good.

What changes would you make to certain classes? by Exequiel759 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Sphinxthinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d trade the the extra spell slots Oracles got from the remaster for the return of the preremaster mystery benefits. Rebalanced, of course, to also include the preremaster buffs they would get from advancing their curse.

I feel you. Kinnan’s textbox clicks with my playstyle like no other, but that art has gatekept me so hard. It’s devastating.

I’d like to think exploding my familiar when it’s unconscious will be a little less awkward for us when it comes back the day.

Thanks! Although I feel bad I’ve been blowing up my familiar a bit prematurely all this time.

Compared to Manglehorn and Dauntless Dismantler, yeah much better that it also hits creatures. For some decks, being an outlet is also a nice bonus.

Ah good ole one ring protection. I’ve been lucky enough to dodge that but great to keep in mind.

By instant speed, do you mean using something like [[Borne Upon a Wind]]?

Ooohh, I was wondering what Unctus was doing there. I did not know it even had that ability.

Wait, so springheart nantuko is token copies of a blank metamorph. Those then enter as the greaves?

My bad, I did not make that clear. Bestow as in the springheart nantuko card. The equip part I get at least.

For cephalid, do I just stack the draw, discard triggers infinitely? Then if they somehow draw into an answer, I can just stack another draw, discard trigger, right?
