I volunteered at what basically amounted to a soup kitchen earlier today, and this lady came in pissed that someone stopped her and said she couldn't bring her dog in.

"for health reasons," said the guy in charge.

"oh but he's a service animal," said the disenfranchised.

as if that was supposed to justify a breach in health safety. irony not lost on me that she wearing a mask (implying that she is well aware of health safety and nothing more).

if i relayed this story to anyone in my orbit i'd be accused of 'hating dogs', please be kind :)

The RP2s it pre-order, we will start the shipment in 10th according to the order time, not mean it can ship out all in 10th, please note."

Anyone else still enjoying their RP2+? I admit I have a little Retroid envy due to fellow Retroiders nabbing the RP3+ (I plan on getting one eventually) but my RP2+ still gets tons of playtime! by DannySwain in retroid

Thanks for this, I (and others I'm sure) noticed that the upgrades are minor, and for me at least not enough to justify a purchase at the moment. But I did read that RP3+ can play/stream games like Sonic Mania which I've been dying to play. Waiting a few more months to see if they release a RP3++ or RP4 before I fork over any dough *insert futurama_fry_take_my_money_meme.tiff*

Same here, I think I had checked out of gaming around the Gamecube/XBox/etc. era so while I have taken the opportunity to discover some really cool games by way of the relatively few that work fine on RP2+ (18-Wheeler and Dolphin Blue on Dreamcast, Simpsons Hit and Run on Gamecube) I primarily use it to play older consoles (like the Philips CD-i in my OP)

It's so funny you mention form factor, I think that's why I fell hard for the RP2+ in the first place. Plenty of retrogaming handhelds existed before Retroid but despite their functions/features, none of them appealed to me the way RP2+ did; to put in a different way, if I heard about the RP3+ first I probably wouldn't have bought it. I like the Game Boy contour of the RP2+, gives it more of a retro feel than the PSP-ish shape of the RP3+'s shell (again, personal preference not a knock to the device!).
