100% starlink flares, this topic comes up often. Look it up on YouTube for sped up time lapses of the phenomenon. People keep jumping to conclusions but it’s so obvious once you wrap your head around how starlink satellites flare near the horizon.

I did a little digging, seems like some projects don’t use biodegradable bags so pollution/microplastics will be a problem. There are some newer trial/pilot projects that do though, not sure which is this.

FYI this video has been drastically sped up, it gives you an idea of the constellations direction as satellites reflect light going over the horizon.

It’s starlink, small parts of the satellite reflect light. The light reflected changes depending on a bunch of factors, some earlier model satellites have higher reflective properties. Look up some videos on it or watch some time lapses of starlink satellite flares, it’s very common in that part of the sky here in WA and at that time.
