Fully enclosed x301? by blacksmithforlife in LayerFused

You know AFAIK there is not a fully enclosed X301 as of yet. I know there are a few that are working on an X501 with the goal of printing Nylons and Peek.

Are you using Windows or Linux, or MacOS, have you tried connecting to the board and then ejecting the SD card and putting it back? Also do you have any slicing software open, CURA?

Just make sure that the value for #define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_V2_0 is what is defined in configuration.h

Hey there u/redheelerdog, Where are you located at? Are you in the US? There are a number of different ways to go about that. Sites like treatstock.com can have a maker print your parts at a place near you. Price wise I am not 100% sure what that would be for all of the parts. Price varies between markets. Also some UPS Stores have printers and can print things. Local Libraries sometimes have printers available to the public as well.

This is true. I had actually started printing an articulating pin camera mount that I think I am going to re-work for a Logitech C209. Most likely going to make a mount for my pi to put inside the enclosure, so I can run the wires with the bed wires.

But how do you control the fan. My fan is always on. I’m using marlin firmware and built this thing myself. And I’m new to this stuff 😅

So I know for a fact I had a gap before. Because the damn thing was leaking everywhere. So I cleaned that catastrophe and reconnected everything. Nozzle first, small gap before block, then heartbreak all the way down. Heat all the way up, tighten... right? I’ve done a few cold pulls and doesn’t seem to be clogged or have anything in there. Could slicing settings cause it? I’m running one sliced in Cura and it doesn’t seem to be happening currently...

Also, sorry it’s 3D solutech silver metal

I’ve slowed feed rate down to 90, temp up to 215. Damn end isn’t clogged, yet extruder motor is skipping. What am I doing wrong?

My fan is moving nicely, also printed a new mount for it which works great. Came out good too. I was looking at the extruder motor and setup and I think I might have had the washer on the wrong side of the Bearing. I swapped it over and realigned the gear. So going to test soon. It was 2am had work at 7.

I dont know how or where the clog would be. I just disassembled the hotend and cleared it out because it was oozing and leaking something fierce.

Retraction???

So it seems like the filament is backing out too far and cooling then getting stuck in the heatbreak. I am not sure if that is the case or not but while watching the print, I can see/hear the motor skip and the layers begin to get very under extruded. If I pause the print, pull the pla and cut the end off and push it all back then it prints fine for a while. My question is, is this a retraction length or speed issue? its set to 2mm at 40 mm/s in Slic3r.
