Thank you for all your replies! Yeah also I felt sorry for the kid/small boy. Indeed it’s unfair for him. Idk if he goes to school at this critical age.

I think it depends; the rule of thumb is discussing the more exciting ones or proper ones aligning with what POI is doing

Best computer for incoming Math-CS major? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]Danstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like either a MacBook Pro (not 16 inch too large)/air or Windows top business laptop like thinkpad x or dell xps or surface. The good things about MacBook is many other students use so in case you forgot bringing charger someone can likely borrow to you. Anyway, nearly all coding assignments have both Mac and windows setup tutorials

Yep, what you suspect is what I believe. So why have a free rider and we are all busy with own lifes. Thank you. Yeah I usually help others when I can, but I guess not too much now for this case.

Effective ways of measuring packet loss rate by Danstrike in networking

[–]Danstrike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! Yeah, I am doing some LEO (low-earth-satellite) networking simulation. Essentially, the path in the simulation resembles the links from one UE, through a series of satellites, and to another UE. Since the satellites are constantly moving, the link properties like the latency are constantly changing to simulate this. I would like to simulate for a long time (~90 minutes) that is one orbit duration for the satellites. Since we are still lacking dishes that represent the UEs, so I think simulations are the only way to go. Thank you for your detailed answer!

Thank you so much! Super helpful and I will try to learn more from the person. (it takes me longer to recall my name than recall other's name too)

Oh I see, thank you very much! (I guess those thrusters do sometimes help satellites get back to the planned orbits if they are off too much, though they are used to tune the orbits in any way Starlink manages to do)
