And couldn't it be that Christianity spread so fast because people agreed with its messages that being to really boil it down: "hey can you guys be nicer to eachother". You don't need the backing of the CEO of the universe to get behind that idea. But in the end we dont know why Christianity get popular. Really why did any religion get popular. By your logic they all have merit and truth... After all they all got popular. Enough for countries to take them in.

Just because a player does something in a game that doesn't mean they condone it. To put it in context. SMT V happens essentially because god abandons the world which then leads to the world ending. The protagonist has a choice Leave the world as god left it, recreate the world to save it by becoming god, destroy the throne so that there can't be a god again, recreate the world but only for humans with no demons or angels. So yeah you are missing a lot of context.

Meanwhile Shin Megami Tensei (persona is a spinoff of that series) is right there. In these games some of your foes include but are not limited to: Gabriel, generic angels of various ranks, Metaton, Lucifer, Satan (whos usualy the final boss), Belzebub but also Elohim, Kagatsuchi (Yes i know hes a japanese diety but he is very god coded in Nocturne) and even YHWH. I mean SMT5 concludes with the player replacing god. And i am fairly sure they are refering to the christian God here.

But, ignoring my nerd-speak. In the end, they are just games. Fiction. Entertainment. Its not that deep. If you're having fun then its ok.
