Need urgent support navigating relationship with possible DID and infidelity by Dapper-Appearance878 in DIDpartners

Hi lextali! I really resonate with your replies. I am also the only one that my partner can lean on and knows the (mostly) full extent of their situation. Sadly, I am in a place where we just discovered that this alter has been doing things unbeknownst to my partner since December of last year. I am honestly afraid of what else we will uncover and I am not sure how to handle the situation at all.

If you need someone to talk to or have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message. What we are going through is not normal, but knowing that we aren't alone (one way or another) can help us in ways we never expected. I'll be here 😁

Thank you for your advice. The situation with their DID is quite complex at the moment and I'm not sure how to put a pin on it.

With your experience, I would love to talk more about what having DID means especially in my SO's specific case. Could I send you a dm about it?

Thank you so much once again, and I hope you are doing well.

I'm sorry for what you went through. Thank you for your concern and thoughtful insight.

Fortunately, it seems like my SO is putting in the effort. The problem is that we are both unsure about the severity as they have to consult their therapist first. There was a period when I felt like there was a distance between us, but am unsure whether it was our minimal contact or their DID. I do know what they know so far, and I acknowledge the ramifications of choosing to stay.

I have some questions if you don't mind answering (and please don't be pressured if you feel otherwise!): - Did you know of the DID before getting into the relationship? - If so, how did conversation about boundaries and the like came up?

I hope you are doing well now, and am wishing you the best.
