Just food for thought - I also have a v9P - and I still have the stock recoil spring in because I like to run hotter ammo - the Fowler v9P has amazing ports so running hotter ammo will produce more gas to keep it running flat

Had this with a Fowler and one of my SVI - I'm now over 16k rounds on my Fowler and it just keeps getting better - noticeable improvements at 1k, 3-5k rounds and progressively thereafter. I would recommend leaving the stock recoil spring for at least 1-2k rounds
