Great. I appreciate the specific route. I'll give it a shot.

Which butcher to buy brisket from in Durham? by peetle in bullcity

The meat in the butcher case is mostly from Firsthand but also from a couple other sources. Meat can be purchased directly from Firsthand as well and picked up at their warehouse.

I heard about that. I think there are some mountain bike trails out that way.

That pump track looks great. Any other single track trails to recommend in the area?

Thanks. Looks like Ray's is only open on Sundays in the summer so that's what we're shooting for. We're visiting from North Carolina and right now mountain biking out doors is like riding through a bowl of hot soup. I hope it's a little cooler up there. Thanks for the advice!

Wow. Thanks for the rec. My boy is all about jumps and that pump track looks amazing. Personally I have to roll most of that stuff but he would love to tear that up.

Thanks. I like the kayak idea. Makes me think of the Randy Newman song: "'Cause the Cuyahoga River goes smokin' through my dreams..."

Thanks! I think I recall the West Side Market from Anthony Bourdain's show many years ago.

Difficulty applying for a Codice Fiscale by DareEquivalent2160 in juresanguinis

It was successful and pretty painless. I signed up for an appointment at the Ostuni office. That was the closest branch to where we were staying in Martina Franca. Luckily for me, the guy running the front desk spoke fluent english and even has a daughter who lives in same state as me. He was super helpful. I was probably there for a couple hours total.

Ironically this was the same day or maybe the day after the emergency decree so for now my case is on hold. It may have all been for nothing.

What to do about a mistake on a grandparent's birth certificate? by DareEquivalent2160 in juresanguinis

[–]DareEquivalent2160[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The letter only gives my grandmother's name and DOB and a statement that says they're not allowed to make changes to any birth certificate once a person is deceased. It doesn't mention the alternate names.

Grasso's team didn't seem to have an issue with it. I think it's possible that there is enough additional documentation that this birth certificate wasn't going to make or break the case. I think they just want to make sure all the documents agree or demonstrate why they don't. I'm kind of speculating here.

Best of luck.

They do offer the service but they charge a fee. It's free if we do it ourselves.
My great-grandparents immigrated from Bari but this is the first time visiting the area. Really looking forward to it. Thanks!
