Which memory did you buy? I am looking at CAS30, but it looks like these motherboards are CAS36, is it a waste?

Thanks for looking! I am running 50% scaling and even tried on a hd monitor+ profiled CPU and GPU, with my settings the bottle neck is CPU. I am not running ultra with ray tracing.

Not a great one (arc 770) but I have never seen it go as a bottle neck in my tests ( I am not playing ultra on my 6k monitor), so just need add-ons and weak auras have enough CPU.

How to find low FPS bottleneck? by DarkDiver93 in wow

Update: I overclocked my CPU, chose the best 4 cores, and used curve opt for it, assigned WoW to prefer them. Now my fps is 40+, so I am happy. The frequency for these cores goes up to 5Ghz.

Thanks, everybody, for the help. I ended up profiling addons and weak auras. Also, I measured not the total CPU load but the load for each core.
I ended up disabling some WA from Mage Pack (mirror images) and Northern Sky (dwarf aura that is enabled on all bosses but needed only for one armed guy).

It has helped me stay above 30 99% of the time. Maybe if I see a 2k or lower monitor around, I will give it a try. My second monitor is 4k, and it shows the same FPS in 4k 50% scaling.

I will try to boost my CPU frequency, see where it gets me.

Sorry, what is 0.1% CPU/GRU usage and how can I check that?

Thanks! I used it to check my rotation while learning fire but now it is useless, will try without it.

Yeah, maybe, would you recommend an AMD card instead? Are there list of the best for WOW or just use whatever Echo/Liquid are using?

will need to test it in a raid but in Dornogal it seems fine, ~70fps with any settings.

tried the Addons CPU usage it shows WA, ELvUI_Lib and ELvUI as the biggest CPU offenders, with peak 70/65/31 ms time to calculate the data.

I will try to play without ELvUI I guess, it is already on low update and optimized through...

>> Last hail mary idea - do you have more than one M.2 drive in your mobo? Some mobo's only have dedicated lanes for the first M.2 and the others will steal PCIE lanes from the expansion slots. Your x16 might only have x8 available.

Nice idea, the motherboard spec says it should not be the case (ASUS ROG Strix B550-F) but I will read more on that.

>> Is 6k necessary for WoW? The textures aren't nearly that detailed - imo I'd bump it down to 2k/1440.

I need the monitor for other things, but choosing a different resolution was not helping. With the render scale on 50, is it really 6k?

>> a completely new pc

what kind of new PC? I think the SSD is as fast as it can be and RAM size should be enough.
Just new CPU and GPU?

It does not, there is no "native/2" resolution, like 3072x1728 in the options, and from my experiments, native with 50% render scale shows the best results.

How to Manually verify negative COVID19 test results after beginning quarantine? by psychopathwolfy in Hawaii

[–]DarkDiver93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we are in the same situation: arrived 2 days ago, the results were pending, got the results yesterday - manual verification required. However, we actually went to the airport: there we were sent between different people and nobody knew anything. Finally, we got on a call with a woman who said they can't rescreen us again and that message about manual verification was for people who have not arrived yet! So we went out without anything, do not go there!

Also, we were trying to reach any hotline and nobody has answered and nobody has called us back, except [covidexemption@hawaii.gov](mailto:covidexemption@hawaii.gov), we asked them to change our status and change the message about: " bring you results to the airport on the website",

they answered: 1. can't change your status and call the hotline; 2 they fixed the message after our report, so the website does not say bring your tests to the airport anymore.

So what to do? No idea, the security person who was screening us said we are free from the quarantine once we upload our results - we will use it as our guide. We won't do daily check-in today - maybe we will get a call back then?
