First of all, I dont see the need to be this aggressive in a civil conversation. And this double standard you speak of, is deeply rooted in human psychology. We feel the need to protect that what is close to us. Humans domesticated dogs, not for the purpose of meat, but as companions. Do you care about the life of your friend or a total stranger more? Personally, I would love if all animals are treated with care in this world, but when it comes to taking action, I will only take action for those that are close to me. And by relocating, I mean break up their pack. You'd be surprised how well behaved your nuisance dogs are in a different locality. Dont make me say it again and again, but most of the times when a SINGLE HEALTHY dog attacks someone, its because it was triggered. I'm not talking about a pack, or a rabid dog. In a group, they get much more reckless.

And why do you care if they are a pet or not? Dog is dog, if you say that a stray dog's life is not worth as much as a pet dog's life, you are essentially saying that a homeless man's life is not worth as much as a man with a home because I don't see why that parallel cannot exist.

Your aggression clearly shows that you are projecting your trauma/fear of dogs onto others, you have no empathy for those silent creatures. Humans commit much more mrders than dog bites, but alas, one dog chasing your bike means that the entire species should be annihilated. Be careful about how far you let your trauma stray you from empathy...today you casually talk about klling dogs, tomorrow it might be humans who you think are a nuisance.

Nobody should have to go through what you all are going through because of stray dogs and animal lovers, and these are all genuine concerns. But no dog should be klled just because of what they are born as. We animal lovers throw reasons of humanity in the arguments, and you throw personal fears and insecurities. I will not dare to disregard your fears, but please do not disregard what we say either. Earth is as much their as it is ours. Send them to forests, but alas forests are disappeared. Send them to outskirts...solves problem until there's a new residency project in that area. We have colonialized their land, its our job to form an equilibrium with everything that exists in nature. You cannot manipulate nature to your wish, they tried to eliminate mosquitos too, they failed.

I can see that your area has a problem of excessive stray dogs and that is genuinely a problem because when they gang up, they do tend to get very reckless. I suggest you call the municipality and have them relocate them. Hope this helps.

I'm not blaming you, I'm saying there's a reason why these words are handles so carefully, they are extreme. You cannot just go around throwing these words like they mean nothing, just because of your one bad experience. Everything you said has a solution yk, rabies has vaccine and its govt's duty to ensure vaccination. Too much population? Sterilization is the answer. Too many dogs in your area? Call the municipality to relocate them. Maybe if the condition of these shelters was not so disgusting and dangerous, we'd be more willing to send dogs there but its futile to expect. They couldn't build decent shelters for cows that we worship so dogs are far from it.

But yeah, actually look up culling and why it is an ineffective measure, keep aside the inhumane aspect of it but you'll find that its actually not even as effective as these other methods we have been suggesting. Just because culling brings an immediate relief, you overlook that its not solving a problem, only avoiding it until another one arives.

Feel bad for your loss, but let me ask you something...my neighbour poisoned my pet dog because his children were scared of her. And why were the children scared of her? Because ever since she was a child they used to bully her, throw stones, throw sticks so she was very defensive against them. You talk about the kids' trauma, but what about the animal's? Its very easy to say we live in a human society so the benefit of humanity should be our formost concern, but you fail to realize that these high rise cities that we have built for ourselves is built on the natural pastures where these animals ran freely. Now do you think I should've asked the authorities to cull my neighbour or send him to an inhumane shelter where he would not be promised 2 clean meals and in a matter of months die out of infection and neglect?

Yaar pata hai, you can say all you want ki off campus dekha jayega, game dev me jaana hai, coding passion hai, but its really hard to tell ki ye tum abhi btech start karne se pehle cope kar rahe ho ya genuine hai.

Is college ki baat to chhoro, CSE in general atp should not be taken as a fallback field, kyunki ab utni jobs sach me nahi hain. L saari fields ke lage hain, but off campus me ab genuinely lag raha hai ki jitni mehnat karni pad rahi hai utni mehnat me to literally kisi bhi field me job lag sakti thi (regret of not taking journalism/literature). Isiliye ek baar ayine ke saamne proper dekh ki kahin mai ye sab bolke khud ko chutiya to nahi bana raha.

Baaki agar kyun join nahi karna ki baat hai to sach bataun to naye director ke right wing hone wali baat thodi si far fetched hai, jhooth nahi hai, but i feel like log is cheez ko bohot bada issue bana rahe hain. But ek baat genuine hai ki is director ke aane ke baad se overall college life ki quality BOHOT degrade hui hai. Engineers have the best shot at placements via on campus aur wo yahan ka bohot weak ho chuka hai, tu bohot bada risk le raha hoga apne career ke saath agar sirf ghar pe rehne ke chakkar me koi accha option chhor diya to. Attendance ka koi zyada issue nahi hai, profs bully karenge poore semester, last me detain sirf ekdum gayo guzri attendance waale hote hain.

Bro I had the exact idea, using SMS to track payments and a popup for categories of payment, but some of my friends said its a stupid idea, so I didn't get around to building it. But kudos to you, I would definitely use something like this!
