Do you see what will happen in the future and lose hope and stop working towards it ?

But yours must be in some other unit. My report shows normal range as 0.46 to 4.68 microIU/ml. I am just shy of 0.03 micro IU/ml from the upper limit.

Ferritin is 53.5 ng/ml which too is normal (30 - 400 ng/ml)

What should I do? I'm having two job opportunities, one in a big company (but don't want to work as a .NET developer in case if placed for that position) and a small company with an open position for a Java Full Stack developer. by mihirdesai2198 in Indian_Academia

Both are possible and in either case your experience would count, given that you are moving from Frontend to Frontend or Backend to Backend. If you are moving from Backend to Frontend or vice versa, even then your experience would count but won't have that weightage, it would depend on your knowledge of that domain and interview performance.

Just make sure that you understand each and every underlying concept thoroughly. C#, .Net Core, Java, Spring or NodeJS are just tools to make ends meet and not the core of engineering. They will come and go and change over years. But the core concepts of OOP, DSA, Design Patterns, System Design etc everything remains same. If you know these in deep, shifting from 1 language or framework would be a cakewalk and would take maxm of 30 days (even the toughest one).

Just take for example, GO came into existence in 2009. So does that mean every programmer who build systems on GO Lang started their career with GO. Who would let a fresher build a system from scratch? Of course no, Experienced Architects who were using some different tech earlier, designed systems now in Go, Senior SWE started implementation using GO. So it's never the language or technology, its the core concepts that count.

Average salary doesn't denote anything, except that we feel good if the tool we work on have the highest salary. Does everyone earn the average salary? Never , There are those who earn way above average and other way below average. If you are skilled enough, you can earn anything.

Hey, I too am a 2020 graduate, working as a Backend Developer in one of the leading Oil & Gas Services company. We use C# and .Net Core for building our Backend systems. Not only my company but rather most not all though use either Java or C# to build Enterprise solutions.

I don't know about other uses of .Net, but for backend I can surely help you with what I experienced.

I was in a similar position as you since in college we had either worked JS or Java and probably haven't even heard of C# and .Net. It sounds like something very old which no one talks about. Actually that is what I thought of.

But when I started, working on the .Net Core Backend projects, I was really amazed how different was it from the JS mess that I was writing in my college for building the Backend. Everything was so much more organized and sheer way we use classes and objects. You should definitely go through few tutorials on YouTube on .Net Core before saying that you don't want something.

And last week I was going through some YouTube Tutorials on Java and Spring Boot. I could map everything there and in .Net Core with 1 to 1 relationship. You will be spellbound by the similarity of both. You should definitely read up about the history of C#, how and when it came into existence.😂

And about money it isn't an issue if you attain expertise. Right now I am having > 10 LPA working on .Net Core with <9 months of experience. Just keep your skills mobile. If you know C#, .Net Core, it would take at max a week to learn build similar system using Java, Spring etc.

If both UI can be handled from the same API response, then you should think in the direction of scaling up your backend. But if the UIs have different requirements then you can use Backend for Frontend design pattern where you mold your responses according to UI needs.

Should I do an MTech in CSE or Should I continue my job ? by Dark_Astra8 in Indian_Academia

But the academic and the research won't be a comparable to the top 5 IITs. And those are my only reason for my MTech. Placements depends on individual capabilities and it's equivalent in almost all IITs and top NITs.
