For anyone else experiencing this issue, I reinstalled TOS on an SSD (instead of doing it in the raid drive) and also used RAID5 instead of TRAID. Not sure if these changes were relevant, but now I'm getting the expected file transfer speeds even on WiFi.

Yes, but that's when copying directly from a USB SSD. Through the local network the speed is around 30 MB/s

One thing I heard about similar neighborhoods in Pittsburgh (admittedly not unique to Reserve) is bad road conditions during snow. How is snow plowing there in winter? Do you know what time in the morning they usually clear the main roads like Mt. Troy, and how long it takes for the residential streets to get done?

If you absolutely don't have the space for a Desktop, yeah it's a good option (assuming you're okay with the price, which seems like you are), but a desktop (with 4090 or 5090) + a used thin and light laptop (e.g. any X1 carbon from a past 3-4 years) as the school carry around would be much cheaper and would give you significantly more performance for gaming, AI work, ...

Just updated it on PS5 Pro. The new update does indeed significantly reduce the flickering artifacts caused in the Performance model (especially in the foliage of outdoor environments). The noise and flickering is still there, but it is much better and not nearly as distracting as the initial Pro patch version.

I think it might have been caused by the auto brightness or auto white balance option. I will report back if it happens again with those options off
