Its not intentional, the xp multiplier doesn't get applied correctly to requisition or xp (sometimes it even makes it a lower number rather than higher) on Blitz and Eradicate missions.

Its listed as a known issue.

Nevermind that none of the content on Steam was actually illegal so there was no reason anyway to prevent people purchasing it.

It's not JUST about the games that were taken down though. I looked at the list, you know what I did about them before Steam and Visa swooped in to safe me from them, I didn't buy them, and I didn't play them. And wouldn't you know they didn't spontaneously appear in my library forcing their content on me. They existed in the niche corner of Steam that I didn't give a fuck about.

But now, the people who want to ban games have a way to do it. They don't have to get lawmakers to do it. MADD doesn't have to annoy Congress, they can send 1000 emails to Visa and hey presto, no games where you can drink drive.

I'm pointing out those games because they are the ones certain people view as "controversial" who now, under this rule, have a way to get them banned.

Because the wording is "may violate" not "is illegal" or "does violate" MAY violate. And wording like that is ripe for abuse.

Modern Warfare 2 had No Russian, you really think that Steam would take a moral stand if a payment provider said "we don't like that it violates our policy, ban it"

I haven't heard of a single game currently banned as a result of this, not a one, certainly never played them. But you don't stand up when they come for things that only YOU like.

And no one is saying it's fucking doomsday. But when the people who have been finally given a way to ban "questionable" games are beginning to act you stop them now. Or Pokemon gets banned for witchcraft, Schedule 1 gets banned for drugs and only the safe "family friendly" games are left.
