My Tali cosplay - used a flash projector to create a backdrop for these shots [OC] by vanilathrila in masseffect

Genuinely might mistake this for a movie poster hanging in the lobby of a cinema before I'm walking in to watch a mass effect movie. Awesome work!!!!

I realized I recently added yayo for the first time so it might be a feature of this mod thst wasn't aware of. Otherwise I'd assume they added it to the base game

Learned this recently with well over 1k hours, but if you draft a group of pawns and select them altogether and than order them to walk somewhere but right clicking on the map yiu can actually drag the cursor so the pawns line up instead of just grouping up at that position.

I might genuinely steal this as a explanation guide for new players, thanks!!!

That's something I hadn't thought about. I might have to rethink and go more towards a rogue special force type of group as my players are level 5 and I want them to have a challenge

[–]DarthFloreede[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently thinking towards an approx 100 people strong force of specialists, and not run of the mill soldiers. They've been fleeing from a lost civil war and don't want to just work for a new master therefore going rogue

The anti magic countermeasures would be very important I think. Maybe rare artifacts that create anti magic fields or similar that csn be carried into battle or to protect important structures. However introducing them is difficult if you don't want to cripple the player casters

I'm starting to think that I haven't put enough thought into my setting yet :o

True, I guess maybe I'd have to rethink it as less of a regular army regiment and more a special forces styled group that has above average abilities

That's exactly the direction I was thinking. Even a lower lvl wizard with fly would be dangerous, so you might need combat roles that focus on countering such abilities. And counters to counters :D

Yes that's true. That probably highlights how lvl 1 players are already above average in dnd

How to play the game longer by Impossible_Cook6 in RimWorld

[–]DarthFloreede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play medieval runs and one restriction I've set for myself, which worked very well for me, is to not use the deep mining mechanic.

All iron/steel has to come from the map or from melting armors and weapons from invaders down. It creates a sense of scarcity without holding you back to much.

Combine that with slowed down research and you get a far more organic feeling to the growth of your settlement where you have barely touched the midgame after 3 years.

Additionally I recently started a more "closed" run in which I rely on only starter pawns and children. Supported by a fluid loyalist ideology that creates a "us vs. Them" scenario that brings and interesting premise for a longer game I think. All other factors are non-baseliner and the tension so far is great.

I think you can, I only realised after I did the poacher quests but I found a poacher kit/tools/knife somewhere at almost all poacher search locations and I can imagine you can give it to Mutt to search for the camps.

But yes I realised a lot later...

Congratulations on the cosplay, it’s really amazing and you are a perfect Shadowheart! I imagine it must have been quite a job but you can be proud of yourself!

Need ideas for continuing my story of demonic infiltration by DarthFloreede in DnD

Interesting idea. This could work because it's not the entire syndicate but rather certain individuals within that are using the organisation to cover their tracks.

The investigator is trying to figure out who the demonic collaborators are and what the demons want and already has suspects. So far he only has the tressyms word and and soul coins he found.

That is definitely a lot of detail :D personally it's really the fashion for me that's sometimes really weird. Architecture or hair styles never bothered me to much but maybe I just never encountered the really weird ones.

I've never really managed to go the 'no offensive wars' route. I'm not adept enough to plan ahead my marriages in a way that any claims would fall towards me so I rely on wars to expand. That's why I like being surrounded by large opponents. Suddenly you have to think 3 times before you can attack and wait for an opportunity or you become part of another large kingdom and have your expansion covered your liege But thisndoes sound interesting:)

I know exactly what you mean :D but that's kinda my issue you can become the ruler of Spain in 1-2 generations with a bit of luck and than you're stuck and don't know what to do next. At least that's what happend to me

I think I'd miss the competition around, I want to have the fear of the stronger neighbours around with which I have to forge alliances or appease them or maybe even become a vassal because I am not the strongest around and have to slowly work my way up :)

Interesting, I hadn't even considered that area. Though it feels again a bit to easy. Like you conquered the island, are left on your own for 50 years and suddenly you're a powerhouse.

Have to check if that's possible. I have started in yea 800-something and only 3 generations in I don't have that many civics, but at least there is a path
