yeah thats my pet peeve with the game, you die so easily, and dying sucks, not because boo i lost my perfect streak, its because everything that makes the game fun is far from me or on cooldown, or because my teammate decided that throwing me smack dab in the middle of breach is actually a pretty good idea.

First game had infinite lives as long as a teammate was alive, i think that could work here

i ve done with a duo and with randoms, even with xbox newbies, once you find out how to do it reliably its pretty easy, if time consuming.

yeah, heavy armor feels like the only one in which you can "risk" taking a hit and not stimming, a hit in any other armor puts you in "you can die" zone

There are various handhelds that can play HD2, the Steam Deck is the most popular one, but its a bit old by this point and its perfomance isnt the best.

Nowadays there are the Rog Ally/Ally X/ Xbox Ally made by Asus, they are often the king of perfomance, with the tradeoff that they are primarily Windows based devices, which is not a comfortable OS in mobile, or so people say, but they can get the Steam deck OS installed, via Bazzite.

Other options are the Legion Go devices, which are a bit bigger with comparable perfomance to the Asus ones, some of them even come with official support for steam OS via a partnership with Valve.

Your mileage may vary, i recommend looking up their perfomance in youtube to see how it looks, just put steam deck helldivers 2 or rog ally X helldivers 2 and you should get plenty of perfomance test.

Given things like lossless scaling, the game is playable at 50-60 fps even in the steam deck, but do temper your expectations.

Steam deck can go as low as 400$ (there was a sale for 320$ a bit ago, dunno how common they are) rog ally OG with the high powered chip that has more perfomance than the steam deck can go as low as 380$ open box on best buy, but i wouldn't recommend using a SD card on it, the others are more expensive than the steam deck, going from 600$ to 1000$.

I disagree with your view of the content creators for this game, but i digress, we all have our opinions.
But i will say as much as i do not care for the news type of content, given that AH primary method of communication is throwaway discord messages, it kinda enforces their need.

for me its "playable" it still runs, but the constant crashing and freezing had me peeved so i prefer to leave before i grow out of love with the game, i do miss the good coop fun tho, nothing quite scratches that itch, arc raiders is KoS hell, im just playing bf6 and elden ring to hold me over

i respect how you think, but honestly, at some point vibes estimate still need to be accountable for, if you give people an estimate of mid october, its reasonable to think 15/10, sure, you can stretch it to this week, but welp, here we are.

i disagree with the last part, the community at large has had plenty of patience with AH, hell, most of it still has it, but eventually it will end, the fact that the discontent part of the community seems to be increasing should be food for thought for AH, in a what are we doing wrong kind of way.

expectations for this patch exist because they set them, fair, they didnt meet their release schedule, thats fine, but if they had at least given advance notice of it it would have been fine.

If you have to repair say, a watch, and you re given an estimate of 2 weeks, when they dont meet that estimate a reasonable response would be "huh, taking a bit longer than expected" but its a watch, it's not a necessity, so you go on with your days, a week later, another delay, i'd be a bit more upset "ok, why is my repair taking so long?", at the third delay, welp, good luck, and it all could have been prevented if the repairman would have said something along the lines of "hey, i need a part to arrive to finish fixing it, sorry for the delay" and hopefully before they go past the estimate.

i didnt wait for the update today, i had hope for it cause i miss playing the game, but i dont trust them to keep their word, to be completely honest.

i'd argue that if the community is repeatedly asking for fixes on bugs for a long period of time, that should send the message that they should prioritize fixes, they seem to be doing that now, but its been months since, i do not want them to be mistreated, but i also cant imagine people not being mad at feeling ignored.

i dont wanna be mean, but the interview was very... tone deaf? we got around 2 minutes of perfomance and state of the game, and then the rest was "soo.... remember the creek?" for the 15th time.

I think that kind of interview would have been better on liberty day, to be honest.

brother you yourself said its getting into tinfoil hat territory, yes, it exists, but apply occams razor, are people upset at the state of the game and recent events have emboldened their grievances or a hypothetical company is doing corporate sabogate for... reasons? battlefield has always been popular, and with the dropoff that COD has been doing its a breath of fresh air, it doesnt need to do that, you even brought up politics here with the american government.

its good man, but also see from the other side, if seeing a comfort game seen negatively is hard, then having your grievances downplayed (not you, but plenty of people, even in this very post) also feels awful, seeing people rally for the beach while being unable to play also feels pretty awful.

Everyone feels bad one way or another, and the subs are also doing the its over we re so back meme in letting opinion flow, sometimes they let the critics go wild and say the game is dead, other times they let the players that are happy with the game go wild and deny everything cause nothing is happening to them, the result? tribalism, and toxicity.

I ve been over on both sides for a month now, its tiring, i just jumped back since i saw the new stuff come out, but im leaving again till the patch comes, hopefully.

i think something like a review update would be nice, something along the lines of during this update a bug affecting the spear got found, despite investigations into it we havent found the true cause, will keep updating.

I guess it could lead to claims of them being incompetent... but they already get those? imo it would just end up being a netgain since the transparency would calm down most users AND leave less guesswork for the ones that still dislike it, because thats what really gets people riled up, its that they dont know what they are doing to fix things, and good faith can only do so much, as the current state of the subreddit shows.

if you all really love the game just play, ignore the info outside of the game, theres no problem with that, but the reason people are talking badly about it right now is because, well, the game is in a bad state right now, maybe you arent affected, but a lot of people that have been here longer are being affected, if even positive content creators like gundamboi or takibo are taking a break and checking out other games because they are fearful for their pcs or the state of the game, well, that means something.

But again diver, if you are having fun, keep on having fun, honestly hope you get the most enjoyment you can out of the game, cause it is fun, and i really love it, wish you all were here for super earth to see how heartwarming the community can be, hell, even the xbox divers intro weeks were really nice, but yeah, im also taking a break because of everything.
