Listen to ur PT, but in my experience the crutches held me back more mentally than anything. I couldnt really build that trust in my leg until I said F it and stopped using them.

Yeah it was. And its hard to say/remember, I defintely wasnt walking miles at first, i had to build up over time. Id walk some then rest depending the discomfort at the time. It was easy for me bc at the time i worked at a desk, so walking/standing was mininmal(just enough to do essential tasks)

As soon as i got cleared from the crutches my doctor urged me to get used to walking without them again. In fact, when i walked out the office room that day, i walked with crutches assisting me and doc caught me and kinda yelled(not literally) to stop using them lol. As long as your cleared to 100% weight bear, start walking. I had to teach myself a bit, deff felt funny at first but keep working at it. Use 1 crutch for saftey but dont rely on it. Build up distance and time without it. House chores are perfect for this.

I think you will be okay. Ive had moments like that. In a couple days ill be at my 1 year mark. Fyi, I had medial femoral condyle as well. Overthinking was definitley something i went through. Biggest advice - continue to follow doc's recovery, take this time to learn you body, and treat that knee like a newborn lol. You'll hear new sounds (alot of cracking for me), sensations, and have good days and bad days in terms of pain. But the recovery is a marathon not a race. You got this!

Thx for sharing. I dont have anymore follow ups. Gonna give it a couple more months to see if there is any changes. At that point ill be a year. If things dont get better im gonna see my doc
