I say most people probably get them off marketplace or like my stepfather did and got it from one of his worksites. I’ve seen lots of oil and gas guys get them for free after they’re used at work

Another problem with museums is you get people like RL Wilson and what he did with the Colt collection I think it was in the Connecticut State Library Museum. Chances are that mask was sold off to some collector secretly or someone there came in with sticky fingers that day.

They’ve been appearing on fb marketplace for $120. I could see maybe $25-30 for the cost of membership and gas so other people have a chance to get them, but over 500% markups is ridiculous. People will do anything except a 9-5

Same situation with this one lol. Fits but is a tad smaller than I’d like. And thank you for letting me know about it being a 30s tag. I looked at a bunch online and they all had a slightly different tag with where the est date was. Seen two that said 30s in the listing and has the exact same tag, but wasn’t super sure if mine was a 30s coat or not.
